Life long conservative who is slowly coming out in favor of something besides what we have now.
Everyone that works for fed/state/county/city.com gets great healthcare, many of them retire or start retiring at or double dipping at 45. Healthcare continues for life.
All paid for by hard working people like me.

Then we have entire generations that have been raised with rent, food and healthcare paid for by the same hard working people like me.

The final straw is watching mexicans break our once great Nations laws and illegaly come here by the tens of millions while the fedstatecity.con does nothing.
Then mamacita and the bambinos come too and before you know it the same hard working Americans like me have to pay for their rent and their food and their healthcare.
Did I mention they are destroying healthcare for everyone?
Did I mention the city/state/feds dont care about us hard working Americans who pay for everything.

And last but not least, who can afford to go to the dam doctor after paying for everyone else to get free healthcare.
I have to pay a minimum of $250.00 anytime I get sick enough to see a doc, and I have to get really really sick.
I pray I dont have to take blood pressure or cholesteral drugs because they really have a racket going there to fleece anyone stupid enough to not have insurance or have someone else pay for their healthcare.

You’re right - and I don’t like where we are, either. It’s just that I was hoping for something other than national health care. I used to have a transcript of an 0bama interview - the link is broken now, but if I recall correctly the interview stated that basic health care would be for everyone, yes - but with basic health care you only get crutches and meds for arthritis, not a joint replacement (as an example). The good news is everyone is covered. The bad news is your quality of life will be affected.

Even Canada has begun charging for their health care in some places. The system is breaking down universally; here we are ready to try it out?

There’s got to be a better way. I’m very disappointed that the GOP hasn’t tackled this as a national problem and come up with a compromise rather than forcing us to choose one extreme over the other. Even my doctors are admitting it’s a huge problem and they’re not surprised 0bama got in based on this one issue alone.
