Sorry about that- my keyboard’s trying to revolt.
Don't sweat it, neighbor- better to have a sticking keyboard than a sticking brain...
Thanksgiving was good, despite being a Chinese Fire Drill- my wife's Mom passed away this spring, so the holidays are kind of poignant, this being the first season with her gone.
"The Kids" ( all grey-hairs, now ) decided not to celebrate Thanksgiving, then their kids came home from the first year away at college, and there was much weeping & wailing & gnashing of teeth about "No Thanksgiving? My first year back home?"
So plans were made at the last minute, and naturally the relative assigned to get a turkey had some jive-assed emergency involving golf clubs, unpaid debts, and his brother, so the turkey did not materialize in time.
But, but...
On Thanksgiving day I got a Deli turkey from the store, fixed stuffing & gravy & cranberry jelly, and the two of us passed a nice day together...
Meanwhile, my brother in law swears we'll get together as a family Saturday.
We shall see.
