Let me explain what happens if Obama releases the original birth certificate from Hawaii, which is of the form indicating he was unequivocally born there.

Wackos will scrutinize it with extreme precision and will announce that there is a smudge on it here or there and that smudge raises questions. Then they will find some typo that a nurse corrected 47 yrs ago on the document and explode into AHA!!!!! this means it is all bogus.

Or . . . the certificate will be entirely clean, perfect, proper, and consistent with any other citizens birth certificate of that year, with proper typewriter font, format and spelling and the wackos will STILL decide that smudge is damning, or that the paper edges are not of an appearance they want to see.

In other words, he has the Governor of the State of Hawaii having claimed all is right and proper. That’s that. Anyone who now accuses him of the reverse assumes the burden of proof as to that accusation, and he’s under no obligation to aid their efforts. They can go ahead and spend all the money they want trying to overturn Hawaii state law that holds the document private. The lawyers they pay in that pursuit, who will then donate that money to the DNC, will be very proud to function as that conduit.

Let me explain to you that the statement of a politician, i.e. the governor of Hawaii, means not one damned thing to me. Have you ever known a politician to lie before? Until the long form vault copy is a matter of public record, his presidency is illegal and abhorrent to me. The burden of proof lies with Obama, he is the one who seeks power. I do not care what people will say after he shows it, the burden is his, and he MUST show it.

You present the classic straw man argument. You assert we won't believe even if the proof is authentic.

Bullshit!

If he has an authentic birth certificate, he must produce it.

The burden of proof is not upon US because he controls access to the birth certificate.

He ran for president. He must prove he meets the eligibility requirements.

A birth certificate is an official record which MUST be produced in applying for licenses and other official documents. It happens every day for MILLIONS of Americans.

The most powerful elective office in the U.S. and the world can demand no less when it is specifically a question of a candidate's required eligibility for the office as stated in the Constitution.

You try to dismiss this as a minor nuisance when it goes to the heart of a president's oath of allegiance to the Constitution which he testifies, TO THE WORLD, he will support and defend when he is inaugurated.

If Barack Obama does not prove his citizenship, he is not a legitimate president and no officer of the U.S. military, nor public official in the executive branch, need follow any order he gives.

Further, any executive order or bill from Congress he signs has no lawful validity.

All of our laws derive from the Constitution, which he has chosen to violate from day one.

Well,...That is **not** that!

If Obama had been born in Hawaii, the governor would have plainly stated, “ Obama was born in Hawaii.” She did NOT say that!

It was merely stated that they were in possession of a document. They did not specify if this was a document registering a foreign birth or a certificate registering a birth that had occurred in Hawaii. BIG Constitutional DIFFERENCE between these two types of documents!

As a proud American I will proudly display my CERTIFICATE OF LIVE BIRTH, certified with the raised state seal, because I am PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN.

Is Obama ashamed to declare his valid American Citizenship with a certified document of live birth? Or does he not have a valid US Birth Certificate? Legal manuevering that prevents the CERTIFIED DOCUMENT from being presented only intensifies the mystery and increases the mistrust and potential deception this simple, BUT EXTREMELY IMPORTANT DOCUMENT clarifies.

No, they aren't - and, yes, he is.

The governor of Hawaii, and her state's top records official ONLY said that they have Obama's original birth certificate on file, and that it is sealed.

What they did NOT say, is what information is on it. THAT is the $64K question, and the one that Obama must still answer to end this.

That is absolutely not true. No Hawaiian official has stated that he was born in Hawaii. All they have done is confirm that he has a Hawaiian birth certificate, which is not in dispute.

Strangely enough, McCain had no problem with producing his birth certificate the moment it was requested. No questions asked.
