Today President Bush took part in the 61st National Thanksgiving Turkey Ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. (Transcript)
This is my final Thanksgiving as the President. Over the past eight years, I have been given many reasons to be thankful. I'm thankful to our men and women in uniform and I am incredibly proud to have been their Commander-in-Chief. (Applause.) I am thankful for the armies of compassion volunteers who feed the hungry and shelter the poor. I am thankful for the teachers and nurses and pastors police officers and firefighters, and others who serve their neighbors and better their communities.I'm thankful for the wonderful and supporting family that I have been blessed with. I'm grateful to Laura for her love. I'm grateful for two Thanksgiving miracles who were blessed -- who we were blessed with 27 years ago: Barbara and Jenna. I'm thankful for the fact that my mother is doing well. (Applause.) And this year we're looking forward to having another place at our Thanksgiving table with a son-in-law, and I'm thankful for Henry.
President & Mrs. Bush and their daughter Barbara departed the White House this afternoon for Camp David, where they will stay this Thanksgiving weekend.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice held a news conference at the State Department in Washington.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
I am hopeless with visulising what 500 square feet would be
No, I missed that. I will catch it when I watch the recording
LMAO!!! If they're lucky ;)
That reminds me of the Burger King commercial: two guys from BK try ordering something from the Wendy's drive-thru. The Wendy's person asks them if they want a baked potato with their value meal.
"Baked potato? Are we in Russia?"
My little one bedroom apartment (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, living room and dining area) is about 725 square feet.
It’s not very big, especially when you factor in all the kitchen equipment. It was tight quarters.
LOLOLOLOL I remember that one, it was funny.
Barney and Beasley!!
:)
It sounds like he he's getting a decent appetite. God bless him.
Prayers that he can cough and get his chest cleared up. Prayers for his strength and that his feeding not be interrupted.
(((Eleanor)))
You are in our thoughts and prayers too. Take care. You are a good daughter.
I really hope that it starts to work for him soon! I know exactly what you are going through and will keep praying for you both!
Good. Prayers that this will give him more rest and strength.
it would be like 22 1/2 feet by 22 1/2 feet! My sister’s kitchen is almost that big!
I love the fife and drum corps.
Exactly.
Happy Thanksgiving :)
Those antique twins are weird, LOL
Aw You’re welcome,Silent One :)
(in blue text!)
& I always notice the purple text You do for/to me...
Even when I don’t bring up the blue text color( as in blue being Your fave color,) volley/mention.
I know You know that,though.
Hi there!
Oh I’m gonna squirrel it away alright- in my belly! I’m going to my brother’s, the professional chef, house! :-)
Antique twins! LMAO It’s the fashionably messy highlighted hair, I think.
I’ve been watching Antiques Roadshow forever and they are from that show, so their weird factor has worn off for me. I always thought it was weird that Leigh spells his name in the female version of the name.
The last 3 years I have celebrated Thanks Giving with you all from a distance of course this year with dad in the hospital it will not be possible.
This year I had intended to roast a turkey leg and serve with seasonal vegetables and make a special desert but it will be yet another crock pot meal for me tomorrow.
I expect it will be tinned chicken and pork balls with seasonal vegetables.
I have also a slice of banofi (sp) pie in the fridge
LOL!I’ll try not to, but I can’t promise nuttin’ when it comes to eating the Thanks Giving bounty!
Masherd Potates,especially!
& turkey legs & pies and stuffing and...
Yum! All,...to the MAX!
