Now, my God,
let, I beseech Thee, Thine eyes be open,
and let Thine ears be attentive
unto the prayer that is made in this place.
Truly You are a great God, the one true God, our Father. You are the Author and Creator of life. You fashioned the universe and have already been to the end of the age. How great and awesome You are, Most High! We confess that we are unworthy to come before You of our own accord, but because we have accepted the redemptive gifts of our Savior, we are new creations, and have been made righteous through Jesus Christ. We bow before Your presence because You have bid us to pray. We love You, our Lord, because You hear our voices and our supplications, because You bow down Your ear unto us; therefore we shall call upon You all the days of our lives. May Your Name be glorified as we pray together during this week of Thanksgiving. Grant us grateful hearts that look to You for every answer we need during these times of trial in America.
Father, please continue to abide in President Bush, providing everything he needs to lead this nation through these difficult times. Thank You that he serves a God who is faithful to all generations. Thank You that he finds his strength and wisdom in Your eternal Word. Please grant him great success and tremendous influence during his final days as the leader of the free world. Give his cabinet members and his advisors hearts that are inclined to You, and let everyone involved in the decision-making seek Your will especially in regard to the economic problems our country faces. Fortify President Bush with Your vision and help him to be far wiser than the enemies we now pursue. Give him the desire to complete any unfinished business you have placed before him, and may he stand strong until his job as President is finished.
Father, defend those who have chosen to defend us. Our military men and women need the precious touch of Your hand upon their shoulders to show them the way and to comfort them. Grant them victories and accomplishments far more wonderful than they can imagine, and may Your Name be glorified as freedom is established in the lives of the Iraqis. Comfort the family members who spend the holidays without their precious loved ones.
Father, we enter this special holiday with thankful hearts. Accompany us and guide us in every thought, word, and action today, Lord. Hear our prayers of gratitude, and help us to know that we abide under the shadow of Your protection. In the Precious Name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

Thank you, Faith, for yet another beautiful prayer. I don't know when this quote was made by President Bush but it has stayed with me. I thank God that we have a leader who is not ashamed of the Gospel of God and lives every day as His humble servant.
I pray for former First Lady, Barbara Bush, that she will be healed and out of the hospital soon.
Dear God, we fervently pray for our nation, our leaders, and our military. We pray for their families as well. God bless all who pray with us. God bless them all.
