Water is vastly more important than food in the short term (less than a week or two) — in the context of 1-2-3 or even a few more days you don’t “need” food, period, it’s only a “comfort” issue so long as you have water. Humans have lived for weeks without food, so long as they have water..... not that anyone wants to have to do that, but water is the critical survival element in the context of a few days’ time, not food (so long as there is not a serious medical condition involved such as diabetes, etc.).

Correct about water. Some sugar type pills, candy bars etc. will deal with Diabetes side of the equation. If available of course. Bringing up an illness stacks the deck against an otherwise correct comment
