Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.
Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.
The first shooting took place near the CST police station

There were people in the vicinity that reported what happened. Because the GM of the Taj was a high profile target, this was on the Indian news channels and the Muslim scumbags spread the details on purpose to spread terror.
The GM could have saved his family possibly but he was in the basement saving his guests and quite a few did manage to escape.
Prayers for you and your family, Maneesh. I have been following this all night because it is so horrible to see something like this happening to India, which is not only a friend to the US but a bright light in all that part of the world. I have met many Indians in the US and they are great immigrants, energetic and forward-looking.
I hope this does not just go - like virtually all other terrotist attacks - unavenged. The only thing that makes the Muslims back off is serious consequences to them. The US did that in Iraq, and we haven’t been attacked since then. I hope India has a better press and population than the US, though, because Bush received no support for his actions and the result is that we have the terrorists’ friend, Obama. So I really hope the Indian government does something about this.
But whatever happens, you have friends here in the US who are praying for you and your family.
These terrorist can't be human .
Some of the terrorists killed and caputured. Who are they? The LET? LET denies. Speculation that the terrorists entered the ports of bombai through water. Easy way to enter the city by water and then just get to the hotels and train stations. Could have been trained in Pakistan. South Bombay in a state of seige.
Maneesh, words cannot express how horrible, how pointless, are the deaths of your loved ones. Your cousin was saving others, and these animals destroyed his life, and the lives of countless innocents.
Maneesh - What unbearable pain and anger you must be experiencing. I am so sorry for your family & for India for this terrible situation.
I have been following this since Kite posted the thread yesterday.
My prayers continue for the good people in India and those familty & friends elsewhere who are horrified that a handful of thugs can do such evil & stir up such terror at the drop of a hat
I hope they are executed publicly & barbarically. Thugs deserve no better
Indian_Fighter_Kite - thanks for starting this thread & sharing your on location information
BTW - Kite Runner was one of my favorite movies the past couple years - sad but stirring to the soul
IBN News (live) just went down the path of speculating that the attacks “are really aimed at Americans but carried out on Indian soil”.
This they asserted was the speculation of some Army staffer.
Hmmmmm.....I didn’t know that the many murdered hotel employees were Americans, or the many Canadians held as hostages. Or the pack of Indian journalists who were fired upon from the stolen police van.
Gee, if they target a few huge 5-star hotels that are known to serve Westerners and wealthy South Asians, aren;t they likely to get some Americans?
Oddly, I’ve yet to hear or read a siongle report that Americans have been killed/wounded/taken hostage (not to say it hasn’t happened).
I don’t much like IBN, they are “partners” with CNN. Very slick combined with very sloppy “reporting”.
Headline News (another Indian all news channel) has no English web feed, too bad. They have streaming Hindi and you can suss things out, but....
This is hard to believe, but it seems to be correct

Retired Army officer Jagtar Singh Kang has lost his daughter-in-law Niti Kang and two grandsons Udai Kang and Samar Kang in the terror strike, official sources said.
The three had gone to the hotel to meet Jagtars son, Karan Veer Singh Kang, who worked there in a senior position.

>>>>They know they can’t depend on America anymore, time to use their military strength now, there is no peaceful solution to this. <<<<<<
Maneesh we are so sorry and appalled to hear this and we share your grief and anger. Absolutely horrible.
We, America, should have gone after Pakistan immediately after 9/11. I’ve believed this from the very beginning.
9/11=>bin Laden=>Taliban=>ISI=>Pakistan
You know the many other reasons why.
Actually, the phrase appears to be somewhat older:
This phrase comes from a perfectly genuine mediaeval anecdote. In 1209, during the "Albigensian Crusade" ... in Southern France, the forces of Orthodox Catholicism had been besieging the city of Beziers ... for some time. Finally they breached the walls of the city and prepared to storm it. The commander of the crusade, Simon de Montfort, Earl of Leicester, pointed out that not everybody in the city was a heretic, some of them were good Catholics, so how should they treat the inhabitants when they captured the city? A monk who was actually present at the siege recorded the answer of the Papal Legate to the Crusaders, Arnaud-Amaury, the Abbot of Citeaux, as "Neca eos omnes. Deus suos agnoscet." ("Kill them all. God will know his own." ) So the Crusaders followed his advice and killed everybody they could find in Beziers.
So what happens after you exterminate all Pakistanis?
I heard the same very early this morning. It is the kind of news that will never be confirmed. Either by your authorities or ours.
However plenty of high profile westerners were caught up in the attack. A Greek billionaire and owner of Liveres Yatching was killed at the Taj, a top European nuclear scientist and his wife were rescued.
Brits and Americans were targets along with Israels and Indians (of course). I mean even if polices finds American spies in an injured or deceased state, they would be under cover posing as businessmen. Okay, you know where I’m going with this.. there won’t be any clarity about this. At least for the next 30-40 years when these reports gets declassified.:)
“As for ISI, who knows, and really what difference does it make.”
The ISI is Pakistan’s intel service, much like our CIA. If this gets tied back to ISI, whether they were acting “off the reservation” or not, the Indian govt can finger the Pakistan govt. They are an extension (albeit corrupt and at odds with the current Paki govt) of the govt. It’s one thing if this is just a terrorist organization acting against a nation-state; it’s a whole ‘nother ball game if this is a terrorist organization that can indentifiably be linked to a nation-state . . . that leads to a shooting war bwtn 2 nuclear armed powers . . . believe me, it makes a difference

I am praying for you, for your cousin, and the rest of your family.
I am so sad about these terrible acts. Please let your cousin know that many of us here on Free Republic are praying for all of you.
Demon possessed at best.
Real Prophets climb mountains to be closer to God
They don't craw into holes to listen to the hissings of The Serpent
listen, i’m not advocating that the Indians should do this . . . i’m just giving you my opinion on what the Indians may do if Pakistan does not eventually get its act together.
It was only a few short years ago where the world stood on the brink of a nuclear war in SE Asia . . . and the event that led to the stand-off was a terrorist attack on an Indian parliamentary building that was tied to the Paki ISI. All i’m saying is you could see a repeat if this event gets tied back to the Paki govt.
Read a lot about de Montfort “The athlete of Christ” when I was younger.
Fog of war I think. Saw only a screenshot from a website and nothing else.
No more beef vindaloo. I can live with that.
