In his first real news conference since the week following his defeat for the presidency, Senator John McCain emerged today in Phoenix to talk about his own future.
He said he plans to run again in 2010 it may seem a long time from now for you but so many are already gearing up for the midterm elections that maybe its no surprise. The longtime Arizona senator at age 72 had already returned to the Senate earlier this month and tried to deflect media inquiries every time he ventured into one of its public hallways.
At his news conference today, he continued to defend his selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, a choice that many top Republicans and their pundits ultimately came to blame for his decline in the polls. While the conservative newcomer was enormously popular at rallies during the fall election season, her lack of foreign policy experience and her inconsistent performances in interviews undercut the Republican presidential ticket for many leading Republican thinkers.

And retreads are now doing it.
No matter how thoroughly theyre refuted, they just post their falsehoods again later.
Facts never get in the way of propaganda.
FYI, Jim. Liberal troll infiltrator.
Reagan signed the CA abortion bill that resulted in millions of deaths.
Like it or lump it....but it’s a fact.
Hard to discuss responsiblity with those who clearly don’t feel any.
Back at you troll!
Revisionist History: Misrepresenting President Ronald Reagan's Abortion Record
Reagan was never pro-choice and at no time did he favor abortion on demand, personally or as a matter of public policy. Reagan was firmly in the prolife camp and adamantly opposed to most abortions. The 1967 Therapeutic Abortion Act that Reagan signed into law did not grant abortions on demand. It was advertised as a compassionate law that would be used to deal with the diffcult abortion cases. It was specific to the exceptions of substantial risk that would gravely impair the physical or mental health of the woman, along with exceptions for rape and incest. 95% of abortions were off limits.
It was the Kalifornia medical community that twisted the law to meet their ultimate goal --- abortion on demand.
Another Reagan revisionist bites the dust.
Good.
Like a bad Schwarzenegger film, they’ll be back. :-(
I find the revisionism and smearing of Reagan as the lowest form of shilling.
Good show guys. I’m afraid that this “Reagan was adamantly pro-choice” lie is going to be constantly regurgitated by someone or another.
Yeah... that’s why I pinged you. You were part of those volatile discussions last year—I’m sure they’ll come around again... and again... and again.
And, dear HappyinAZ, it looks like the Mods signed the order that resulted in your untimely zot.
Bye bye, McCainiac.
IATZ
Good, I hope a Conservative runs against you, and wins.
Oops. I may have forgotten to ping you to this thread. Looks like HappyinAZ revealed his/her true left hand and got zotted.
It looks like Happy was simultaneously ticking off a lot of freepers.
Not sure which thread got the poor troll banned.

I’m not a big fan of zotting the less than conservative GOPers from our ranks, including HappyinAZ. She was staunchly anti-Obama, and that’s good enough for me. But calling Reagan a RINO is about as off base a statement one can make, unless you are referring to the fact that he was FAR, FAR more conservative than 95% of the republican party before his time, and once again today.
LOL. That one I can’t help you on.
Her liberalism is not what got her zotted. Her attitude did. I don't even have a problem with her calling Reagan a RINO--she was entitled to that opinion, even if I think it was wrong. I have a problem with ignoring facts and continuing to post the same garbage after being given links, details, etc. It's the same thing some of the RudyBots did that got them banned. It wasn't the their liberal leanings, it was the misrepresentation and spamming of falsehoods on thread, after thread, without ever acknowledging, addressing, or attempting to refute all the evidence they were provided to the contrary.
Ping to join HappyInAZ’s sendoff.
Thanks for the ping, I missed that...
