Bush Throws Some Pardons: What About The Border Agents?
Stop the ACLU ^ | 25 Nov 08 | William Teach

Posted on 11/25/2008 12:16:34 PM PST by Jay777

President Bush, who apparently uses the same pen for veto’s and pardons, has given out 14 and commuted the sentences of 2 others. All were pretty much low level scumbags who pretty much hurt no one but themselves, but what about the border agents?

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., noted that the list also did not include former Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, who were convicted of shooting a drug smuggler and trying to cover it up. Ramos and Compean are each serving sentences of more than 10 years for shooting Osvaldo Aldrete Davila in the buttocks while he was fleeing from an abandoned marijuana load in 2005.

“President Bush still has time to do the right thing and commute wrongly imprisoned Border Agents Ramos and Compean,” Rohrabacher said. “The fact that the president has neglected to free these men from their imprisonment while freeing drug dealers, embezzlers and other criminals is insulting to the American people who have been begging and pleading for the president to release the agents.”

Don’t have to . . . I just have to remind you what you did on this thread, and let you go all drama queen on the rest of us.

It's always 'drama queen' when you're unable to refute something. Just like your spurious statement about 'complaints' about you being rude. Nobody complained, and nobody is being dramatic.

You're just flailing away trying to salvage your dignity.

Unfortunately, you can't salvage what you never had.

You’re unable to refute your screen name for starters, LOL

You must understand one thing. Facts mean nothing in this case. Unless of course, you make them up.

There’s some big drug money involved here and there, I suspect.

It's amazing that you've made it this far in life with that approach, boy.

That’s actually a good point, regarding assumptions. Ramos and Compean shot a “man” running for the Mexican side of the border.

And they hit a drug smuggler-what are the odds of that happening!

Very well. I’ll admit you have me at a disadvantage. I never considered what my screen-name has to do with the Ramos and Compean case.

Gosh, I don’t know . . . what is an acceptable level of “cops shoot people running away?” In percentage terms, I mean?

Exactly. They should have received medals, not indictments.

There are in fact, several similarities and parallels.

Right. You are just not smart enough to explain them.

Gee, that is why it is a good idea not to run away from them.

And it is a better idea not to attempt to try to cross another nations border.

I would expect the Mexican police to take a dim view of it if I was attempting to cross over to Mexico illegally.

So, the FACT is, the guy was doing something he wasn't suppose to be doing and that is why he got shot-period.

So, your new legal standard . . . do you wish to apply it nationwide? If not, how do you propose delineating the standard and having it withstand constitutional scrutiny?

I mean seriously, there's the real world, and then there's the world where mkjessup waves his e-peen around.

No, we are talking a grammatical standard of being honest.

You said they shot a Mexican, they shot a Mexican dope smuggler who was illegally crossing the border.

Context matters.

Right. You are just not smart enough to explain them.

Not at all. The question is whether or not you have the intelligence and perception to comprehend the irony of said similarities and parallels. But if you need to be led by the hand to the schoolhouse, so be it:

1.) You're a 'boy' by your own description. Ramos and Compean have been railroaded by the good ol' boys like Johnny Sutton, his boss Dubya, and the open border crowd.

2.) You are 'rude', again by your own description. What has been done to Ramos and Compean is certainly rude, and that's just the beginning of the officially-sanctioned persecution that has been undertaken against them by our Government.

3.) Your screen name contains the numeral '1' ("one"), and the similarity is striking: the "one" explanation for why Agents Ramos and Compean continue to rot in prison is because of a corrupt U.S. prosecutor, and his enabling, dysfunctional, and Mexican-ass-kissing boss, one George W. Bush.

Once again boy, "as you were".

The facts are clear to anyone who can pull their head out of their Bush-idolizing ass long enough to understand what was done, what is being done, and what apparently will continue to be done to two Border Patrol Agents who were defending our borders from violent drug smugglers.

Yeah, that's you Sparky. Give your head a shake.

The jury convicted them of defending the border eh? Why isn't everyone who works for the Border Patrol and defends the border sent to jail? Must be they did something besides defend the border.

President Bush should not pardon cops who alter a crime scene in an attempt to mislead the FBI. The fact that they were on the border is not material. They were still in the United States.

Sorry, but the facts are the facts. Anyone doubting the transaction can do their own Google search on key words "Bush" "Family" "Paraguay".

I've never whined about ad hominems, you loser. I merely point out that idiots complain that I'm rude when being rude to me first.

What is it with your attention span? You can't be that stupid.
