There is no escape - we either fight for our country or we lose the world. Seriously, America is it. If America goes to communism or fascism then the world will follow - it is better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

America is the last greatest hope for freedom in the world.

Our fathers and grandfathers fought to stave off authoritarian collectivists of all stripes.

And the majority of IGNORANT DUMBASSES JUST _VOTED_ FOR IT.

Well, I agree with you there. We are inviting in the very people who are hell bent on our destruction. It makes no sense to me.

This thread title caught my eye in a big way. If you are interested in parallels between 1938 and 2008 you might scan my posting history for the year. I have been excerpting Shirer’s book for several months now to supplement the old newspaper articles.
