Sorry but I find it a bit amusing.
America has been keeping the sea lanes safe thanklessly for a long time and yet we are the big threat to peace on the planet. I say pull back our navy and let the pirates run wild. Force the EU and everyone else who gets a free ride to actually do something about it.
But hey, that’s just me...

I'm retired US Navy and spent 14 years at sea and I know as well as you do the US Navy simply hasn't the ships to do that kind of job.
