ABSOLUTELY! Every American citizen eligible to vote has standing to ask for proof that a candidate for ANY public office meets the legal requirements to hold that office. I took an oath to support the Constitution, and I know that I never was released from that oath.

AMEN, BROTHER! I took that very same oath (U.S. Air Force, 1974) and nobody ever once said to me, "Go in peace, your oath is fulfilled!"

Therefore, as far as I am concerned, I am STILL SWORN to "... support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same ..." and so are you, brother.

By that reckoning, every veteran has "standing" to challenge this issue. If the words "We the People" don't give every citizen standing (which they should) then veteran status does.

It is high time we start decorating the lamp posts.

I find my assumption of that comment being made out of deep arrogance very disturbing.

This is the mindset that bills the family for the bullet after their child has been shot.

Hmm, good point. I was originally addressing the “President Obama” assumption; but the lack of public interest one is just as bad.

I hear ya. You’ll never see the word president followed by Obama in my typing. I prefer ‘comrade Obama’ or similar.

Judge Bert Ayabe upheld arguments from Republican Gov. Linda Lingle's office, which, inexplicably, has fought tooth and nail to protect the birth certificate from public scrutiny even though it remains the key to establishing whether the man elected to be the next president is actually eligible under the Constitution.

Hawaii is very Democrat and very pro-Obama. If Lingle's responsible for Obama losing the presidency, her career is over, and her state's GOP will be in worse shape than it is now.

But beyond that, state governments do what they can to hold on to their power. They don't mind if the feds step in and take care of expensive services, but they don't want courts telling them what to do.

Well if you are a legit noob, you need to read up on things. Hundreds of Freepers know all about the COLB issue in far more detail than you can imagine. You think that we are just a cottery of inspited flamers? You are dead wrong.

Freepers broached the issue way before a glimmer of it was in the squinty eye of any attorney, way last spring.

Read this report before you go talking about Berg or anyone else who is persuing Article II proof:

The Freeper who researched and wrote it is a hero, and he will likely be supporting several of these cases.

Leo Donofrio’s suit is the one that counts w/part of the evidence I assume Dr Polarik’s expert judgment that the I’net COLB shown is an absolute forgery. Berg’s website links to his articles about 9/11 and he has some bizarre ideas. As for the GOP and its “image”, lol. Let it wither and die. Conservatives will replace it.

Here’s where Hawaii is counting the public’s interest is! Because of their flagging tourism dollars now they have added Obama “points of interest” to tours. The state of Hawaii has just created a new website located off their main tourism website and a “journalist” has also opened an Obama website. How irritating to celebrate someone so arrogant!
The link below is the “journalist’s website
