Telling the story from the pirates point of view (Barf Alert!!)

I am 42 years old and have nine children. I am a boss with boats operating in the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.

I finished high school and wanted to go to university but there was no money. So I became a fisherman in Eyl in Puntland like my father, even though I still dreamed of working for a company. That never happened as the Somali government was destroyed [in 1991] and the country became unstable.

At sea foreign fishing vessels often confronted us. Some had no licence, others had permission from the Puntland authorities but did not want us there to compete. They would destroy our boats and force us to flee for our lives.

I started to hijack these fishing boats in 1998. I did not have any special training but was not afraid. For our first captured ship we got $300,000. With the money we bought AK-47s and small speedboats. I don't know exactly how many ships I have captured since then but I think it is about 60. Sometimes when we are going to hijack a ship we face rough winds, and some of us get sick and some die.

We give priority to ships from Europe because we get bigger ransoms. To get their attention we shoot near the ship. If it does not stop we use a rope ladder to get on board. We count the crew and find out their nationalities. After checking the cargo we ask the captain to phone the owner and say that have seized the ship and will keep it until the ransom is paid.

We make friends with the hostages, telling them that we only want money, not to kill them.........

I am 42 years old and have nine children.

I think that might explain why he wasn't very successful at fishing.

I’m thirty some odd years old and live in the US.

I had a dream about owning a house and opening my own business.

Then Obama got elected and his “redistribution” policies began to hammer me....

And they go on to say;

“we consider ourselves heroes running away from poverty. We don’t see the hijacking as a criminal act”

We better go easy on ‘em. We’ll be begging them for bailout cash soon.

That's ok. We don't see killing you as a criminal act, either. So everything works out, which is nice.

A few missiles from an RPV can cure those ills, pirates.

Just give us a chance to fly a few in your direction.

Don't you see? Those people in the fishing boats were just the winners in life's lottery. It's all society's fault, really.

Life continues its lurching way toward becoming an Ayn Rand novel.

I wish liberals would just kill themselves and be done with it, instead of trying to take the rest of the world with them.

There should have been a SOCOM troop with a gun in a fake camera putting a bullet in this butthole.

They are pirates. Most of the people on welfare could give the same explaination though.

I got my ***** pregnant in in high school, so i began to hold up convenience stores to get money for diapers. Then I shot a few 7-11 clerks, but they weren’t happy with their lives anyway. It’s all society’s fault. They have these guys that get degrees in stupid stuff and then companies actually trust them to manage the stores that I steal from. It’s a f***** up world!

I was watching one of the many Tivoed Sesame Streets I have yesterday (hey it gives my daughter something to watch).

Was this skit about the big bad wolf and the three little pigs. When the wolf couldn’t blow the brick house down he turned to the muppet fairy tail emergency reporter and said “I’ll huff and puff and blow you down!”

The muppet reporter says “WHAT WHY?!”

The wolf replies “I’m the big bad wolf, that’s what I do”

Yep in its own round about sort of way Sesame Street has a lesson to kids that the bad guys just do bad things, don’t try to find a reason from their point of view.
