OTOH in Islam slavery is acceptable because it is based on their code. It is acceptable and even an honored tradition as it has always been practiced on those who are not muslim.
“White slavery” has always existed in America, and everywhere else for that matter. Most prostitutes are more or less slaves.
I agree that Islam is more friendly towards slavery than either Judaism or Christianity. I know of no Muslim state that outlawed the practice without extreme pressure from evil white Christians.
However, it is also fair to point out that the OT position on slavery is almost identical to that of the Koran. The NT accepts the practice without really promoting it.
The difference is that no Christian or Jew today pines for the good old days of slavery, while quite a few Muslims do.
One reason for this may be that the Koran has a much more central role in Islam than the Bible does in the other two faiths. The Koran is not something that can be interpreted or expanded on. It is eternal and sufficient of itself.
