ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- Oprah wants her, and so do Letterman and Leno. Fresh from her political defeat, Sarah Palin is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches at a rate that would be astonishing for most Hollywood stars, let alone a first-term governor.

I pray that Governor Palin will graciously refuse to go on Oprah’s show, or Letterman’s show, or any other left winger’s show hungry for ratings.
I pray that she will stick to her business as Governor, and run an admirable government for the people of her state. She best sets a standard in Alaska which every American will want installed in the White House in 2012.
The wicked world just wants to make a mockery of all she stands for, and I, for one, do not want to see that happen.
I hope she has every success with her beautiful family.

I believe in “Sarah” too, and it is not the “fear of venue” that holds me back from wanting her to accept an offer from Oprah or Letterman. I simply do not believe that they deserve to have her appear on their shows, which gains them more viewership (aka MONEY). Governor Palin doesn’t need them. Anyone who watches Oprah and Letterman wouldn’t give a moose’s nugget about the intelligence and spirit of our governor.

Absolutely. Clearly, she garnered more attention than McCain or Biden during the campaign. And now she is being asked to do books, TV series, Oprah, Letterman, etc. The media loves her because she gets ratings. And people are legitimately curious about her. So yes, she is a media star. Where have you been?
I agree. But I’m confident that unfettered by the McCain campaign staff she’ll handle it well.
Likewise Jay may make jokes about them, but he is polite to his guests, and doesn't try to make them look bad when they are on like Letterman. No problem with Sarah doing Jay either (or Conan when Jay is gone). Same reason as above.
Ridiculously dumb post, especially in light of who was elected President. Sarah Palin was/is the GOVERNOR of a large state and had an 80% approval rating prior to her selection as McCain’s running mate. The GOVERNOR of a state. Where do you think the Republicans get their Presidential candidates over the past decades? Get a grip, a clue, and whatever else is necessary.

I hope she tells them all to go to hell! Letterman was still making fun of her last night. He’s an asshat! Why do I watch?....perhaps I keep hoping he’ll change.
Governor Palin doesn’t seem to have a good opinion of the media, IMO. Once she was named as the VP candidate, she had to fight the media and apparently the McCain campaign people, as well.
She so deserves to tell them all to stuff it.

It is apparent to me that you don’t know diddly-squat about Alaska nor the fact that Governor Palin has worked her butt off for this state. Have a problem with turkeys? What about the President of the U.S. taking time to give amnesty to a turkey every year (per tradition).
