ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- Oprah wants her, and so do Letterman and Leno. Fresh from her political defeat, Sarah Palin is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches at a rate that would be astonishing for most Hollywood stars, let alone a first-term governor.

Touche. Quayle, Gore, and Cheny were indeed less qualified. However, GWB does not belong on that list. He governed a state with the 2nd largest economy out of the 50 states, while Sarah Palin governs the 5th smallest. GWB governed the 2nd most populous state in the union with over 20 million citizens, not 670,000, the 3rd smallest in the nation.
If we’re talking about executive experience, GWB was head and shoulders above Quayle, Gore, and Cheney. He absolutey does not belong on that list.
I have never understood the negative reactions some people have to Sarah Palin. I mean, some people are absolutely rabid about her. It’s completely baffling to me.
I watched Sarah from the moment she was first introduced to the nation by John McCain, and thought to myself that you could hardly imagine a better, more wholesome picture of American exceptionalism.
Superlatives fail me - that’s how impressed I was with her, and I remain so.
I’m afraid that people’s reaction to Sarah Palin has become a bit of a litmus test for me. Slam or slander Sarah, and I’m going to peg you to my rat list. No ifs, ands, or buts.
What exactly was Ronald Reagan’s ‘educational background’? What a joker, that you actually believed that attending some Ivy League school somehow makes you more qualified to hold office. How many more of these Ivy League clowns do you need to see? Have you been completely unconscious for the past 30 years? The entire Washington DC community comes from the Ivy League, all those ‘educated’ people. The only significantly positive governing done in Washington over the past 30 years was done by Reagan. The rest of these idiots are idiots, in large part BECAUSE of their Ivy League educations. Wake up.
This keeps coming up. The answer is great: The mastermind behind Reaganomics which gave us prosperity well into the Clinton years had a degree in....economics. What a coincidence. Maybe education factors into this after all?
Reagan was governor of California and was straight and to the point, like an intelligent person. He didn’t try to dodge questions or take 20 minutes to say what should only take 2 minutes.
Sarah is good for Alaska. She always lifts Alaska up when she talks to anyone. I am sure that she can say that she is promoting Alaska because she is. Alaska should be glad that they have a Governor who bothers to promote Alaska every chance she gets and isn't just out for herself.
GW governed better than his detractors will ever acknowledge. GW brought much needed respect back to the Whitehouse and faced problems that would have crippled the previous administration. IMHO, we owe him a debt of gratitude, not scorn.
No Sale.
You’re on an anti-Palin crusade.
Every politician blunders in front of a microphone sooner or later. Taking one statement like that and holding it up as proof that Sarah Palin is somehow a bad choice for conservatives is just plain dishonest.
Sure, it was a dumb comment, but weigh it against the balance of her statements in that debate. There’s no question that she holds conservative, pro-America views, and has intelligence, wit, and a keen mind for the largest issues of our time.
Your post was scurrilous and reprehensible.
GWB isn't on that list. Look again.
The only way she should go on Oprah is if she purposes with all her heart to lift up Conservatism and the rights of the yet to be born. And I mean lift way up. Champion righteousness, the right to life and Conservatism. Her audience needs to hear truth for once. America needs someone who is not afraid to speak the truth unashamedly.
That wasn’t a blunder. That was an answer given after trying to dodge the question for quite some time.
I sit corrected. You listed Bush the Elder.
It’s ok. I knew it was an honest mistake.
I give credit to Cheney for his foreign policy. Bush gets zero credit for his compassionate conservatism, which has taken us down the road towards complete socialism.

That’s what she should do and she will make a great difference.
TC doperah’s audience wouldn’t recognize the “truth” if it were to hit ‘em flat in the face. Sarah should not waste her time.
“HO”prah!
You need to step away from the bottle. It's turning you into an idiot.
What are doing, reviewing the tapes, or do you have this all committed to memory?
Without reviewing that exact sequence myself, I can't say what happened, but let's be clear -- Sarah Palin was in contest with both Biden and the moderator, Gwen Ifill, who is as partisan a liberal as any in the MSM.
I'll err on the side of judging for Sarah in this case, if you don't mind.
As I said, you're cherry picking one blunder out of the entire debate, which Sarah did exceedingly well at, on balance.
You want to make the case that Sarah Palin is "unqualified" to be a top tier leader in the GOP? It'll take several thousand words on your part, with quotes and references to make it stick.
Get back to us with that. Meanwhile, you're simply slandering her.
Well, there's something we can agree on.
