Thus begins the Obama hagiography.
The media is now shifting to full on Leni Riefenstahl mode and beginning to build up his resume before the fact. Obama will wave his hand and the economy will rise, phoenix like, from the ashes of the Bush economy (which is no where as bad as they've made it out to be). He will raise his voice and global warming will be reversed (which has already been proved to have happened). And his cheering section will dutifully report his triumphant, Sherman like, march through the conservatives in Washington.
Oh, and they want to hang the failure to get a bailout this week for the Detroit auto industry the UAW squarely at Shelby's feet before the run off election.
The shows this week won't be fun to watch, but it's important that we watch them so that we can prepare responses. What we do on the Sunday thread has never been more important. I may not watch the shows "live" tomorrow but I'm going to get the podcasts and transcripts and I'm going to spend time building responses based on what research I can find. I suggest we concentrate on effective responses for the foreseeable future. It's all we've got.

And don't forget Iraq. Pres Bush won two wars there: The Saddam Hussein and Ba’athist Party War of Defeat in May of 2003, and the final war, The War on Iraqi & Al Qaeda Insurgency, just today.
Of course, the driveby’s won't announce the Iraq War as over until Obama’s coronation, and then it will be the One’s doing.

I always find it amusing when Pelosi makes an appearance. Utter incoherence accompanied by stilted hand gestures. LOL
Gail Collins and Chris Matthews want President Bush to resign immediately so Barky Obama can begin to “heal” things. LOL some more.

Gail Collins and Chris Matthews want President Bush to resign immediately so Barky Obama can begin to heal things.First, I love the name "Barky Obama" and hereby announce my intentions to shamelessly steal it (con su permiso).
Second, Lil' Chrissy and Ms Collins clearly haven't thought this thing through. If GW resigns Barky doesn't become president, Dick Cheney does. And if he resigns in his turn Nazi Pelosi succeeds to the office. And if she ever gets in there you know she ain't ever going to leave!
I'd love to see President Bush provide a blanket pardon for everyone in his administration over the last 8 years (except Powell, Armitage and McClellan) then resign and let Cheney pardon Bush before resigning then tell Nazi "it's all yours, Nancy. Have fun."
But neither Bush nor Cheney are people who would turn their backs on their country that way. That's something their enemies would do.

I suppose an entire weekend devoted to how dodging sniper fire makes one qualified to be Secretary of State will have to wait until after the coronation in January.
"Change" has been redefined and commandeered, just like "gay".

I love the name "Barky Obama" and hereby announce my intentions to shamelessly steal it I heartily encourage it. I first saw it at Uppity Woman's blog (a Hillary supporter, but nevertheless a very witty and amusing woman), so I want to give her credit.
I actually wouldn't mind the pardon idea, if only just to see some heads explode. The President and Vice President have endured enough on behalf of this country and the left has sufficiently poisened the political culture of this country that we don't need any more. And I really think he ought to pardon all of those involved in interrogations, no matter how tangentially.

Well, Mort Kondracke, whom I cannot stand, just made it official: “It’s Bush’s depression.”
Fred Barnes told him baloney.

Charles Krauthammer coined the phrase Bush Derangement Syndrome, but we should realize the comment was NOT a simple comment. The Democrats really are deranged as it pertains to Bush, Cheney and Republicans. Now we can add Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal if he gains national prominence.
We’d better get used to it. ANY Republican is going to attract a total assault by the media, Democrats and the left radicals like Move On. This includes You Tube, Twitter, My Space and every other outlet possible. Until Republicans start utilizing these outlets effectively we will continue to suffer from these assaults.

Exactly, some call it a rewrite of history. Those of us here who know what is going on realize it's just more astroturfing inspired by David Axelrod and endorsed by the Manchurian Col.Zero President we have.
