Gallup: Palin top choice of Republicans to run in 2012
hotair.com ^ | November 22, 2008 | Allahpundit

They’re asking whether various candidates should run, not who the nominee should be, but it’s a fair proxy for enthusiasm. 67 percent say yes to the ‘Cuda, 62 to Romney, 61 to Huck. No one else cracks 50. Among conservative Republicans, it’s Palin 73, Huck 65, Mitt 64; among moderates and liberals, Mitt 59, Palin 48, Huck 46. Based on those numbers, it’s actually Romney who’s best positioned to unite the party.

The more I think about it, the more skeptical I am that all three will run. Even I’m not pessimistic enough to believe the recession will last until 2012, which means The One will inevitably be credited with having succeeded in his chief task by the time his term ends. Huckabee will run anyway because he’s hot to remake the party in his image, but Romney doesn’t strike me as eager for another expensive primary war just to be a sacrificial lamb in the general. My hunch is he’ll run only if Obama looks vulnerable and, even then, only if there are enough social cons running to split the base among them so that his strength with moderates is magnified. (It worked for McCain this year, didn’t it?) If he doesn’t run, I assume Pawlenty will throw in and try to capture those moderates with his “Sam’s Club” rhetoric. He won’t win, but he desperately needs a higher profile if he’s going to make a serious run in the future. (It worked for Huckabee this year, didn’t it?)

Not rumors, a wide group of cited articles, little monkey.
They were timely reported and in detail describe
bad behavior by Mitt Romney.
Anyone who supports him is a moron.

Romney has no accomplishments, in fact romneycare shows what a disaster 0bamacare will be. 0bama had no accomplishments other than being at the right place at the right time.

Unfortunately, alot of the people wrongly believe Sarah is incompetent. She will have to prove them wrong before running for POTUS. I sincerely hope that she is the next prez, but I don’t see that happening until ‘16.

I am active duty 21 years and I do respect Romney for other things that he has done like kept faithful to his wife which is more than I can say about McCain.

Backstabber Romney certainly has no respect for anyone in uniform.

Typical example for you Obama-RomneyBOTs;

National Guard Lt. Anthony Circosta poses in his backyard in Agawam, Mass., on June 9, 2007.
At left, his wife Danielle and daughter Kylie, 2, talk near the swing set. Circosta,
a decorated Iraq War veteran, seemed like an ideal candidate for a pardon from
then-Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for the 29-year-old's boyhood conviction
for a BB gun shooting. Romney denied the pardon,
twice, despite the recommendation of the governor's council.

I did too. Normally I would have not voted for a divorcee for President, but this time it was just to dangerous not to.

Did you ever hear the phrase “been there, done that”. He is past that. He is on to bigger and better things. Now one thing I believe he should consider is running for the Senate. The problem is that he is getting older and doesn’t have six years to sit in a Senate seat and then run for President. He probably only has about four more elections available and then he will be too old.

I like Jindal well enough, and he has good educational credentials, for sure. He’s only been governor of LA for 1 year, so we need to watch and see how the remainder of his term goes and if he can win re-election. I saw him all over cable news last week, and while he speaks well, he really said nothing different from what I heard from other conservative Republicans, including Palin. Her speech at the RGA said the exact same thing Jindal said on TV-—that Republicans had lost their way during the last 8 years and needed to get back to their roots in cutting government spending and taxes in order to grow the economy. I’ve never heard Jindal (nor any of the others) give any details or lay out any plans to implement this platform. Again, I’ll need to wait and see what kind of record Jindal has in LA before I’ll jump on the bandwagon. In any event, he is still way too young for ‘12 (may be a moot point if the One is riding high in popularity....I don’t want to see one of our rising stars become a sacrificial lamb) and will still be VERY young for POTUS in ‘16 at what, 44?

Palin needs to get back to some good governing in Alaska during the legislative session. I have no problem with her doing the talk show rounds after that-—including Oprah and whomever. Her negatives were high because the media was allowed to shape the public’s opinion of her. If she can get out on her own, especially on highly rated shows like Oprah, and be herself in a relaxed atmospher, I beieve it will greatly increase her positives, especially among women.

We would all know trust me. Look at what Mrs. McCain is going through right now. Even though she may not have cheated on her husband, there is news of it. Romney didn’t even have a whisper so I can pretty much trust he doesn’t have baggage except for the dog story that FREEPERS made a huge deal over. See how desperate the press was...they had to go back to the 70’s and find the doggy on the top of the car story.
