U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., yesterday introduced legislation calling for the federal government to invest $15 billion annually in clean energy, a move she said would reduce reliance on oil and coal while stimulating job growth.

Boxer also proposed a national “cap and trade” program that would limit industry emissions.

Its impossible. They haven't achieved reductions of that magnitude in Europe and Canada and they won't attain that here.

You will be taxed out of your car and manufacturing will cease, including some agribusiness.

This is for the Communist goals of reducing freedom, political correctness and discouraging success for “the people”.

It is Communism, plain and simple, as Global Warming is a farce.

Kalifornia might as well have elected Ralph Nader and Jerry Brown as co-governors for all the progress they’ve made in their self-prescribed insane asylum!

...and has the side benefit of chasing business OUT of California taking their 'jobs Americans don't want to do' elsewhere, further from a Mexican border! Yah, that will cure their budget deficit!

And yet, they want the rest of us to bail them out financially??

July 25, 1997. "SACRAMENTO -- The California Air Resources Board ignored warnings from the Environmental Protection Agency that gasoline additive MTBE might be carcinogenic before requiring it in every gas tank in the state.

"Since the passage of the state mandate last summer, MTBE has been used across California as an additive in gasoline to oxygenate the fuel for "cleaner burning." Yet, there is no proof the additive, which is now being used in many other states, results in reduced air-pollution levels . . . ."

Here those clowns go again . . .

I hope to live long enough to see 'em hanging from lamp posts.

Regulators now will refine the plan

Ah yes, what "regulators" do instead of produce anything of value, they "refine the plan". The plan, of course, has nothing to do with reality, and is in fact not only unworkable but will have precisely the inverse effect of its stated purpose.

It’s easy to go back to 1990 CO2 emission levels. All you have to do is shrink the economy to 1990 levels. No problem. We’re halfway there already. Don’t we all feel good about ourselves now?

I’m all out of expletives.

Just once, you’d think that a community of grown adults who are charged with managing governmental affairs of state could do the simple process of studying past periods of economic highs and lows, compare the fiscal policies which were in effect in each time - then craft or revoke fiscal policy based on those findings to ensure new growth.

But no. You’d think wrong.

California is already experiencing an unprecedented out-migration of talent, business, and capital, yet they continue to concoct ever more hare-brained laws and regulations in a frantic orgy of feel-good, radical “change”.

It’s just unbelievable that the people running that state cannot connect cause and effect. I simply watch in horror as my home state dives headlong in glee toward complete failure.

Another Trillion dollars lost to CARB’s tyrannical grip on business and consumers.

Since their inception, CARB has been a complete failure at improving the environmental quality, and a total success at driving business out of California and substantially increasing the cost of living for Californians. That goes without even mentioning the lost lifestyle millions of Californians and former Californians knew and loved.
