Lloyd, I totally agree. And the American public doesn’t even realize that this is a worn-out mantra the left has used whenever they can’t attack the policies. Either “old,” “out of touch,” or “stupid.” Do you remember?

* 1984: Ronald Reagan was out of touch and stupid. The media called him a dunce. They maligned him for not working into the wee hours. He drew a smiley face on a sheet one time and the media roasted him for being an idiot for weeks. In Reagan’s case, it didn’t work as he won in landslides twice.

* 1988, 1992: George HW Bush was out of touch. His VP, Dan Quayle, was stupid.

* 1996: Bob Dole was old and out of touch versus the youthful Bill Clinton.

* 2000, 2004: George W Bush was stupid.

* 2008: McCain was old and out of touch. Sarah Palin was stupid.

The Dems don’t even realize that they try these basic attacks every four years. They don’t realize that anyone with a brain can see it coming. But it works. And why? Because so many people get their news from the Comedy Channel plus Letterman and Leno.

"1984: Ronald Reagan was out of touch and stupid. The media called him a dunce."

I beg to differ, sir. In 1984, President Reagan was old, out of touch and stupid. I remember the "He uses Grecian Formula" to hide all the gray in his hair accusations. He dealt with this like a true champ, looking down so the cameras got a good shot of his hair, and said "No roots!" (or something to that effect).
