He’ll “create” jobs the way Jimmy Carter did: raise taxes to pay for numerous government construction projects, bringing the economy crashing down the way the Carter administration did.

I’ve tried telling people for a long time now that if Barrack Obama were a Republican the Democrats would have done everything in their power to protray Obama as stupid and it would have stuck. Some of them get it, but some of them don’t.

Exactly why is having to deal with the Russian and Canadian governments on a regular basis stupid?

Palin is not he new Reagan, but she does have his political instincts and his poise. They will not be able to do to her what they did to Dan Quayle., because she is a lot sharper than Quayle , but that will of course make them try all the more.

You are so right but they(MSM) still want her on a lot of shows.
Go to and read how many critics want her time to improve their ratings.

Interesting article.

I agree that the attempt to destroy Sarah is about politics.

My wife, a very intelligent and savvy lady says it is about gender. She is strongly pro-women, but not a radical feminist. She says that the reason the MSM is trying to destroy Sarah is because it is still run/dominated by men. Men in power find Sarah a huge threat (not me and most of us).

Palin Pingers

I go and send out the ping and get this great one right in front of me. Sorry for the double ping

Palin has some defenders even in the black community! Here is a letter from the President of the National Asso.for the Advancement of Conservative People of Color. Great read!

Thank you so much Lloyd!

I would love it if we could organize a PAC for Sarah Palin. Say SarahPalinPAC.org ?

We need to ask her to run for the Senate as a platform for a 2012 run for the presidency.

Its the only political direction in which I am willing to dedicate time and money.I am fed up with the rest of it.

I wonder if others feel the same?

My favorite graphic from the campaign applies for 2012:

using alaska geographic proximity to russia and canada as foreign policy experience is pretty stupid

Insisting that a governor should have vast foriegn policy experience is even more stupid. Palin did work with Canada on the natural gas pipeline. The proximity to Russia and the shared fishing waters is a real issue that requires working with them. No, it isn't negotiating a missle treaty, but it is experience, and all governors work at times with potential business relocations from other states and other countries.

Texas's proximity to Mexico established a relationship between the state and Mexico, and certainly affected Bush's positions and credentials. It would have been foolish for her to fail to bring up this international experience.

I think Bill Clinton's foreign policy experience, prior to his election, consisted of negotiations with Oklahoma.

“Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under a McCain...administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change.” —Amman, Jordan, July 22, 2008

The attacks on Gov Palin speak more to those making them than to her. I believe a lot of people ‘got it’ with the media, unfortunately, not quite enough.

The national media and the liberal advocacy groups remind me of nothing so much as a middle school clique. Immature, petty, jealous and lacking in real, earned self esteem.

BTTT

What liberals did to this great woman was vicious and mean. And yet, liberals are perceived as the advocates of women and minorities. Here is the reality. If you're black and become a U.S. Supreme Court Justice via education and hard work rather than Affirmative Action, liberals try to destroy you. If you're a strong woman running for Vice President of the United States, they seek to destroy you for not subscribing to their left ideology.

The plain and simple truth.

Clutch Cargo (Leno) is the soft side of liberalism. He is friendly enough to bring the conservatives in close...then humiliates them. The majority of the public loves this. We have lost their hearts and minds to the self-serving, liberal television, media, and university mindset.

I almost hope that the coming depression crushes so hard that the public is forced to come to grips with the realities of life: Conservatism is not just a better perspective, it is the only sustainable world view.

I have no doubt that the dems, in 2010 when Sarah is up for reelection, will spend a record amount of money on a per capita basis to defeat her.

I think the thing that Palin threatens the most is the pro-abort community. Their three key defenses for their desire to abort anyone are: “(1) What if your life was in jeopardy from the pregnancy? You’d be prochoice then; (2) What if it were YOUR daughter who were pregnant? You’d be prochoice then; and (3) What if your child had birth defects? You’d be prochoice then.”

Theoretical pro-life answers to these theoretical questions are summarily dismissed. But Gov Palin can answer at least two of them with past actions rather than just words. She did have a baby she knew had Down’s Syndrome. Her 17 year old daughter IS keeping the baby that was conceived out of wedlock.

I think the fact that she can look liberals square in the eye and answer how she DID respond scares them to death.

I am conservative on more than abortion/life, and Palin seems to be as well. But she has irrefutable arguments to make in the abortion debate.

They are fixiated on fascist-type public works projects which, as everyone from Hoover to Carter has discovered, rob Peter to pay Paul. The autobahn system which caught the eye of Eisenhower was part of Hitler’s military build up. But even the military build up did not make Germany a wealthy nation. In 1939 the country was still poorer than it had been in 1914. Hitler had to resort to old fashioned, Roman-style imperialism that robbed others to feed the Germans, who were still eating lots of potatoes.

The Eisenhower Interstate system likewise had a military purpose, which was to race materials from coast to coast in a few days. But road built for tanks could handle much large trucks, so it effected a revolution in commercial transportation. The system, however, took fifteen years or more to complete. If Obama manages to create 2.5 million jobs it will be because, like Hitler, he puts them directly or indirectly on the government payroll.

And don’t forget that the Dems were looking for their own “attractive female Governor” to help seal the women’s vote — I recall Kathleen Seibelius of Kansas and Jennifer Granholm of Michigan. No one complained about their lack of experience.
