Is Alaska big enough for celebrity Palin?

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Oprah wants her, and so do Letterman and Leno. Fresh from her political defeat, Sarah Palin is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches at a rate that would be astonishing for most Hollywood stars, let alone a first-term governor.

The failed Republican vice presidential candidate crunched state budget numbers this week in her 17th-floor office as tumbling oil prices hit Alaska's revenues. Meanwhile, her staff fielded television requests seeking the 44-year-old Palin for late-night banter and Sunday morning Washington policy.

Agents, including those from the William Morris Agency, have come knocking. There's even been an offer to host a TV show.

"Tomorrow, Governor Palin could do an interview with any news media on the planet," said her spokesman, Bill McAllister. "Tomorrow, she could probably sign any one of a dozen book deals. She could start talking to people about a documentary or a movie on her life. That's the level we are at here."

She should turn down all three, especially Oprah.

Aide to the Governor: "Governor Palin, Oprah wants to interview you"

Governor: "Who's Oprah. Never heard of her"

I wouldn’t have an issue with her doing Jay Leno. He seems decent enough. I would definitely stay away from Letterman and Ophrah.

She should tell them all to “kiss my grits, I have a state to run”.
Get in there and do some spectacular things for her state and energy problems for the nation. Then come roaring back down to the lower states as the most serious candidate to oust BO in 2012 and scare the media to death again.....HAHAHA

Let them fly up and ask her in person. It’s going to get real cold real quick and fast with less daylight than they ever saw. And snowing. She could say Alaska wants some of that global warming that’s going around.

“Failed” Vice Presidential candidate? In what way had she “failed”?

She single-handedly transformed what would have been a rout and a landslide vote for Obama (in reaction to the pale imitation of a social liberal that was John McCain) into what turned out to be a bare majority.

Face it, folks, at least 5% of the vote was for Sarah Palin alone. She attracted votes that otherwise would have sat on their hands or gone third-party. And that is pretty remarkable, considering the late start and the fumbling but determined effort to discredit her, which did not ever get into gear. After all, her direct rival was much more Obama than Joe Biden, a bumbling mediocrity who was NEVER called out on his gaffes or arrogance.

I agree. Appearing on their shows would only increase the unwarranted sense of importance that the hosts have. Why should she increase the ratings of her political enemies?

Let's see...about a week ago they were attacking her for doing interviews on Alaska "government time", and this week they're on her for NOT doing interviews.

She needs to ignore them all, go back to being Governor, and let it all die down. The press are like sharks, when the blood in the water gets diluted, they go away.

Typical condescending slime job from some piece of AP sleaze. After the treatment Governor Palin received from Katie Colon and that other MSM buffoon [name of?], during the campaign, she should tell them all to stuff it. The heavy lrft and the mainslime media are terrified of her, detest her and want only to harm her. She should stay the F away. Oprah - Oprah who?

That's what I was thinking. Let the Governor set the ground rules not only for an interview but even how the get to Alaska. Can you imagine Oprah traveling 10,000 miles round trip in the back seat of a Prius?

I would definitely stay away from Letterman and Ophrah.

Letterman would play on Dave's weakness. Give him as a guest a goodlooking chick with a personality and he fades into the background and lets her run the interview.

I hope she does turn down these has beens..It could make old Oprah rating go though the roof if she was on her show.So I say don't go Sarah..Oprah and the other need you but you do not need them..Remember old Oprah would not have you on her show before her golden boy was elected..You can make more money without these creeps..They will make fun of you to satisify their own evil selves..Like Katy Slut did when she got her mouth going..

Last night Greta Van Susteren had a segement about Sarah bashing by David Letterman (two nights in a row). She showed a clip and then asked that everyone send Letterman a message on the her Blog "Gretawire".

Here is a link the the story (fifth item down the page):

As I post this - there are 3,287 Responses to “Do you have a message for David Letterman?” Here is a link to the comments:
