These people need to die.
Nary a word for celebrities who lamabasted Gov. Palin for hunting caribou. What Vick did was horrible.
Peace, who also was convicted in the case, said there were times he suggested that dogs unwilling to fight be given away, but that Vick said “they got to go,” meaning be killed.
The dogs were killed by shooting, hanging, electrocution and drowning, and in at least one instance, according to one of the witnesses, when Vick and Phillips killed a red pit bull by “slamming it to the ground several times before it died, breaking the dog’s back or neck.”
Those poor animals.
Too bad we can’t give them CAPITAL PUNISHMENT.

I know the MSM doesn’t need yet another nail in its coffin but the whole Vick/dogfighting thing is reminiscent of the baseball/steroids scandal.
The MSM has had writers close to NFL/MLB athletes for DECADES yet when scandals and/or exposes of bad behavior and lawlessness emerge the MSM goes into SHOCK! HORROR! mode as if their people didn’t see it coming.
I’ll never forget baseball ‘insider’ Buster Olney expressing surprise that steroids were being used in baseball. Just how much of an insider was he?
As for the dogfighting it was hidden in plain sight with references to it in media and cultural references but the MSM played dumb lest they be painted as racists or - gasp - actual newsgatherers.
But you forget that we were reminded at the time that dog fights are a cultural thing.

Amen. This crappola was going on at VaTech all the time Beamer was watching over, but because “His Blacknesss” Vick was so successful at making VaTech a winning program, the media and Beamer looked they other way.

They should have given him a real prison sentence, though.
Goddell has yet to step in on the suspension that has yet to be levied.
