One of the bravest men I know was a Frenchman. He lived in the South of France on the Spanish Border. He and his family were part of the resistance that smuggled out the American and Brit pilots and Air Crews that were shot down. He was only 16 years old when he was doing this. To be caught meant torture and execution for he and his family and anyone they suspected of helping the resistance. Many a French civilian laid down his life for our Air Crews.

Sometimes the French government will pi— you off but the French are okay. Their present government under Sarkosky is pro western and pro USA.

Like all nations, most people are basically the same...fun-loving, family-oriented and generous.

It is when the government, academics and social engineers begin messing with normal peoples’ lives is when the maggots show their faces.

I like France, they were always nice to me when I visted...I even think they are realizing that they should stop their Muslim invasion or their world will be turned over in a generation.

On the subject of “foreign troops” ...... the only ones I’m familiar with under “duress” was a small detachment of Republic of South Korea Marines. Knows as ROK Marines (ROKMC)... We referred to them as ROCK Marines —they were that hard. Fought their asses off...

I don’t recall them ever being driven from a position or failing to take a position from the enemy... In I Corps - we were aligned against professional NVA forces not the “civilian” VC forces.....

The ROK Marines were disciplined, well trained, fearless and magnificent....
One need not worry if they were at your six on on the flanks.
However - their preferred food would give the normal human ulcers.....
