Please see my comment at #253. I had the same problem yesterday as well. That’s 5 of us on this thread alone. That is starting to spike my interest and seems to me that it’s way more than coincidence now...

I’m no tech expert either, but it has never happened before. My son, a tech expert though, seems to think it was some sort of virus, worm, etc., attack directed at one of the sites I routinely visit. The only two places I had been were FR an WND. I think mine started as a pop up from WND. It was a stupid anti-virus ad at WND that automatically started a scan of my computer. Son says these anti-virus ads are infamous for spyware and viruses. Did anyone else go to the World Net Daily article that was linked by a FReeper up the thread?

I’ve had a couple of other, brief notices of virus within the past 2-3 mos but nothing like last night and hard to make it disappear. There is something up all right. This a.m. FR is very slow, too.
