Almost as embarrassing as when Reagan sent William Walker as his envoy to Nicaragua.

(FYI: For those of you not up on Nicaraguan history, there is a good reason why the Nicas laughed their a-ses off when they heard that "William Walker" was being sent by the Americans: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Walker_(soldier))

Looking into William Walker sent me into reading up on John Norvell the namesake of the town I live in.

You might find the correspondence between Norvell and Thomas Jefferson about newspapers kind of interesting.
