WASHINGTON (AFP) The use of nuclear weapons will grow increasingly likely by 2025, US intelligence warned Thursday in a report on global trends that forecasts a tense, unstable world shadowed by war.
"The world of the near future will be subject to an increased likelihood of conflict over scarce resources, including food and water, and will be haunted by the persistence of rogue states and terrorist groups with greater access to nuclear weapons," said the report.
"Widening gaps in birth rates and wealth-to-poverty ratios, and the uneven impact of climate change, could further exacerbate tensions."
Called "Global Trends 2025 -- a Transformed World," the 121-page report was produced by the National Intelligence Council, a body of analysts from across the US intelligence community.

Every time we stupidly put a democrat in office the rogue nations, the ones most likely to pull the nuclear trigger, are emboldened.

Thanks for that link. I downloaded the document.
One of the first things I noticed (and I only spent a couple of minutes skimming some random parts- it’s close 100 pp) is that “one of the greatest concerns” expressed in the report is the “acquisition and employment of biological agents” by a terrorist group to “create mass casualties”- a concern they think is more likely that such a group obtaining a nuclear device.
It’s not a pretty picture.

"The world of the near future will be subject to an increased likelihood of conflict over scarce resources, including food and water..." Interesting how our side is the one that wants to increase the supply of everything but we're called warmongers while it's the other side that wants to restrict the supply of everything that will actually cause the wars.
