This is what happens when farms are taken from successful white farmers and given over to those who have no clue as to how to work the soil. Until they overthrow Mugabe, Zimbabwe will continue this way.

Yep. If they HAD to do it, take the land away from the whites, they could have done it a lot better to put the land in the hands of the working blacks.
Form a corporation out of the farm, government gives the corporation money to buy the farm from the white owner. Loan money to blacks to buy shares in the corporation, first right of purchase to the current workers. They work, but they have an interest in the productivity of the farm. Keep the white farmer on as manager if you want, allowing him to purchase up to 20% interest in the farm. In the latter case the only thing that’s changed is the ownership structure, not the personnel or operations.
There, now the blacks have ownership, the whites haven’t been ripped off, and the farms stay productive.
