As Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin settles back into her job as the state's chief executive, a new ethics complaint filed Tuesday after her interview with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren says Palin already is improperly mixing her official duties and broader political ambitions.

By Kyle Hopkins Anchorage Daily News ANCHORAGE — She's a national political figure and one of the world's most famous people. She's also governor of Alaska.

As Sarah Palin settles back into her job as the state's chief executive, a new ethics complaint filed Tuesday says she's already improperly mixing her official duties and broader political ambitions.

The charge: Palin broke state ethics rules by holding national television interviews about her run for vice president from the governor's office.

The complaint comes as Palin's personal life, her prospects as a future presidential candidate and everything she says and does continues to draw headlines.

Oh, for crying out loud. I’d think even the RATs would be embarrassed about this one.

Gotta admire how Democrats have raised the abuse of legal system to an art form.

Perhaps only the Republican ones.

No, only the conservative ones. The rats are not afraid of Rino's in Demo panties.

Imagine that! A sitting governor granting an interview... quick call the local swat team.

It doesn’t get much more pathetic than this.

All this is going to do, is garner more support for Palin.

You're absolutely right to point out that this is coming from within the Republican Party. The other posts blaming Dems and leftists -- well, it's a natural assumption, but it's not supported by the linked article.

This actually dates back to Palin's disputes with the old-line Republican establishment in Alaska. It's a good lesson for 2012. Some Republicans would rather lose with their buddies than win with an outsider.

Hell obozo never did a frikin thing in either the Illinois senate or the U.S. Senate other than use a current position in order to run for the next "office".

This kind of chit isn't going to play to well if the dims have to defend themselves on the same charge.

I think he never got over being beaten by a girl.

He'd better be getting used to it. She will beat him "like a rented mule", and after she's finished, let Todd have a few swings at what's left, even if it's only hair, teeth, and eyeballs....

it is painful to admit, but the loss of 08 was largely due to our own party. this article and ones earlier showing a large portion of our party did not vote, or went third party.
dont know how we fix that, but if we cant unify we are screwed. first 4 years of obama will be extremely difficult, and some of the damage will stay with us for years, but a second term would make hell look pleasant!

It’s only a matter of time before they file ethics complaints against Obama, Biden, McCain, and Hillary for running for higher office while still members of the Senate (aka American House of Lords).

Rest easy fellow conservatives. I attended the local Republican Executive Committee meeting earlier this week. Nothing much of sustance about where we go but the general direction was plain and direct. The real meat starts to get sliced starting next month with the installation of new officeers and members.

The very positive side of the meeting came when discussing how we handled the visits of McCain and subsequently Sarah. Not much of anything at the mention of his name but when she was brought up, the room erupted in cheers for her. I estimate there were 500-700 people attending and some were not able to sit as the seating was all taken up.

I am energized to bring as much of my engineering and IT experience to the table to better guide and help in the direction of creating a real ground game to get rid of the “Squishies” (RINO’s) and then to begin a campaign to use the oppositions (I’d say Democrats but the sphere is encompased beyond just them) words in a grass roots manner that can effectively change the discussion at the dinner table and use the Hair Color Commercial scenario (you tell two friends, yadda, yadda). The secret is to use their words as the basis. When the McCain campaign did it correctly, he gained in the polls and the Dems were screaming and that is where we need to keep them.

If getting strategicaly placed simple ads at precise times, and not a massive big buy, focused at the gathering points in media of the general public, some would then take that message to the water cooler the next day and the discussion begins in the grass roots of our society and not in the echo chamber of our party. This is but one way but there are others and never again make the fatal mistake that our party has been making in thinking the general public is smart enough to figure it out on their own. We don’t need to demean them, just be a friend who is willing to tell them the whole truth and having people of Sarah’s credibility to be the outlet.
