Praise God: I pray for Pres. Bush to come through for these two men, wrongly accused and punished.

Great news. Perhaps the letters some of us had sent to the WH had some positive effect. Obvious to us all these two guys should be given a full pardon.
I have yet to reconstruct ping lists on various subject matters, so please feel free to ping the usual.

Bush has nothing to lose anymore. He should free these American heroes as one of his last acts.
To: Mr. Mojo
What is there to mull over? If Bush does not Pardon these guys I will be forever ashamed I ever voted for him.

Bush has nothing to lose anymore. He should free these American heroes as one of his last acts. Yes he should. He would not only lose nothing, but could restore some goodwill in the process. He certainly has lost enough of it within his own party.

Let their views be respected as we hope the POTUS has the common sense and decency to fully pardon them.

To me, commutation is not enough. They should be pardoned and they should receive an apology. It is because of them that I have rejected the invitation, offered by several, to rejoin the reserves in my Sheriff's office.
I had to pay my own medical expenses arising from duty related injuries. If doing my duty could lead to disgrace and jail time, I will not serve as an LEO for the US.
They may not have been perfect in the execution of their responsibilities. Perfection is too high a standard for deadly force encounters with drug runners. This conviction is a disgrace and an insult to every person who puts his butt on the line for this country.

If he doesn’t do this...then he can go to hell as far as I’m concerned. I’m so sick of Bush.

Thanks for the ping to this, Uncle.
W needs to step up bigtime and make it clear to all that these guys are more important and worthy than anyone who would test American diligence.

“Bush has nothing to lose anymore.”
I disagree. He’s thinking about his standing among the global elites. That’s more important to him than any BP agent.

I pray that President Bush will see the light and release these two men.
I totally agree with those upthread that said a full pardon is in order. Discharging a weapon while committing a crime is a Bull crap charge!
Bush should pardon them and give them back pay!
