Unfortunately the original text was all in CAPS - sorry for the shouting. I have trimmed out the rest of the page that includes what they have for sale, as it is not relevant to the discussion.
Are any gun companies publically traded?
Both Glock, and Browning, are privately held however, as well as Remington.
(You can always copy it to Word, and format it to “sentence caps” copy and paste back....Took 20 secs.)

There are some important things going on in the industry. I know the following is wordy but reading it may help you decide whether to buy now.
Okay - here is the deal
Last week we sold out virtually to the bare walls. We had a ton of inventory laid in and stockpiled in anticipation of the panic buying that would be created by the election. It simply was not enough. If it shoots or holds rounds of ammo it pretty much left here last week.
I have never seen anything like it.
Around wednesday of last week we changed our focus from selling, to trying to beg, buy and scrounge anything we could purchase. It was very difficult. Most of the industry is either out of semi-auto firearms, mags, and ammo, or they have pushed the price way up in order to slow sales and keep from being where we basically are now. Sold out to the bare walls. The largest importer in the country as of last monday has suspended sales of all of their hi-capacity magazines and raised prices on entire classes of firearms by 25% to 40% across the board. The price increase is really irrevalent however as they have no available quantities on any of these firearms.
Let me give you some perspective.
In the third quarter of this year, ( july thru october ) we sold the following
7.62x39 ammo................361 cases
ak 30 rd mags.....................................783
ak rifles (all types ) .........................243
By comparison, in the 10 days since the election we have sold
7.62x39 ammo................1218 cases
ak 30 rd mags.....................................3855
ak rifles (all types ) .........................572
That is in addition to the ar rifles, golani rifles, tantals, and other firearms that have also sold like wildfire.
Some of our larger dealer customers have been attempting to place orders for hundreds of firearms with us when we only had dozens in stock.
We are very small and these are huge numbers for us. We would have sold more too except we simply could not answer all the calls, and then we sold out.
The good news is we have had some success in buying. We purchased product anywhere we could find it without much regard for the price. It was all we knew to do. It was either that or be sold out and close the doors.
We are posting below the things that we have available for sale. Some other items will be coming on board over the next several days and we will post them up as they arrive. The prices are higher . I can’t apoligize for that. In most cases we are paying more and making less. If you need these items and can find them for less elsewhere, i encourage you to get them.
I hope against hope that this market will level back out soon, but with bans and restctions being one of the primary stated goals of this new administrations i just don’t see it happening.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The evidence is a little more than anecdotal. I’ve checked on gun sales in 4 (admittedly red) states and guns and ammo are selling at a much higher rate than previously. Patriots are jittery over Obama and the infamous Executive Order. I ordered more ammo as soon as I started believing the polls.
Picked up 1000 rounds for my AK tonight, next paycheck going to pick up another 1000 rounds and every paycheck after that till January 21st.
Those that just now bought firearms are a little late to the game and are probably not proficient with what they bought. Those that just ordered extra ammunition and did not need to buy new firearms, understand what the game is.

Oh, and I will NOT be stopping at a Starbucks on the way to the gun shop. All monies now go only to guns, ammo, food, or gas. Obama can keep the rest of his "nation."
How many guns would you say is needed? I’m hearing of people buying tons of guns and wonder why. We have a Desert Eagle and a Magnum .357. Both are too big for me, so I know we need a smaller handgun. We should probably get a rifle for hunting and a shotgun. Is this about right or do we need more?
But you need to trust that they’ll learn. What is it that you want?
This story gives me great comfort.
Check out the new .327 magnum snubbie. Small but lotsa bang for your buck.

CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL
Get ‘em while they’re hot.
That's the problem, they are all hot, and therefore, expensive.
My anecdotal evidence? Go look at Ammoman.com, and see how little of the .223 ammunition is still in stock, and those guys are usually pretty well stocked!
not everything. being that i stuff my own, and use mostly cast lead, prices haven’t changed a whole lot for me.
as far as guns, i don’t need to spend alot of money, i’ll wait til things calm down and continue to wait for good deals to buy anything.
That is very clever, thanks for doing that!
I read a report from another site I frequent, a gun show in Texas. One of the gun show vendors brought a tractor-trailer of ammunition, (which would be 20 or 40 pallets depending on weight and if the pallets can be stacked) - and sold out before the end of the show.
