Door, meet Hagel.
That's how many Republicans are likely to react after retiring Nebraska senator Chuck Hagel blasted Republicans in general and Rush Limbaugh in particular, claiming Rush and fellow conservative talkers "don't have any answers."
David Shuster, subbing for Olbermann on tonight's Countdown, highlighted Hagel's remarks of today.

After rolling tape of two Republican senators looking on the bright side, Shuster quoted at length from Hagel, whose name had been bandied about as a possible Obama VP pick.
SHUSTER: Not all of the GOP is so sunny about their party. Retiring Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska took some time at a forum at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies to analyze just how the Republicans ended up in their current predicament.

Hagel gives me the idea that he's competing for top end in that department.
Door meet Hagel.

Rush Limbaugh and other conservative talkers are just that-talkers-you on the other hand Senator are expected to have “the answers”-neither you or the other 99 idiots that sit in that chamber do. Your “answers” have gotten this country into the mess that we now find ourselves. Thanks, thanks alot.
Nothing novel here. Another dang democrap harping about repubs. Good riddance to the fencepost.
Screw off Hagel! We never liked you! Later RINO!
Ya, congresscritters have all the answers....right....
The RINOS are going to be an endangered species soon...they just haven’t gotten the memo yet.
Hagel is this years Lincoln Chafee. In four years he will be publically supporting the Dim nominee as he probably has been doing in private for years.
Nebraska GOP had already told him to hit the Door.
As much as I hate Hagel. Rush has been a very BIG disappointment for several years now. Since about the time he was caught using drugs he has constantly been wrong about most of his predictions.
A few months before the election he was predicting a Mccain landslide. Whenever he is wrong about something, he conveniently spins the facts to try to make himself look more powerful than he is.
The fact is Rush is not a factor in politics. He might be able to control a few on the right who need his guidance before they can do anything. But if he really had any power.
Bill Clinton or Obama would never have been elected.
I think the media and those on the left (along with those on the right) think Rush has more power than he actually does, and Rush loves it.
I’ll stick to Savage Nation and others.
At least we got a decent conservative elected in his place.
That Vichy Republican pretty much endorsed Obamao.
Of course for folks like Hagel, actually listening to the American People is unthinkable..
Asking a poster child rino like Hagel to explain why the republican party is losing support is like asking Barney Frank why the economy is going down the tubes. Why does the media look for answers from the very politicians who started the problem and refuse to admit they started the problem? The real reason is insidious but simple, they don’t want the public to know the truth because they want to see conservative america silenced.
The MSM is obviously not dead. Sure newspaper sales are down, but we know who won the propaganda war and it wasn’t talk radio. I guess we live (hopefully) to fight another day.
And if 0 proves to be un-qualified to screw the constitution, he’ll be heartbroken, I bet. Screw this pig.
His wife did endorse Obama and he came as close as you could without actually endorsing him. He hasn’t been a Republican in years IMHO.
