According to a press release from the American Independent Party, former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and other members of the party have filed suit in California Superior Court in Sacramento to stop the state from giving its electoral votes to President-elect Barack Obama until documentary evidence is provided to prove Obama is indeed a natural born citizen of the United States.
When he was asked why his suit was being filed, Ambassador Keyes commented:
"I and others are concerned that this issue be properly investigated and decided before Senator Obama takes office. Otherwise there will be a serious doubt as to the legitimacy of his tenure. This doubt would also affect the respect people have for the Constitution as the supreme law of the land. I hope the issue can be quickly clarified so that the new President can take office under no shadow of doubt. This will be good for him and for the nation."
Mr Keye's lawsuit is not the first to be filed, challenging Senator Obama's eligibility to hold the office of the President. A Petition for Writ of Certiorari is currently pending in the United States Supreme Court and a hearing is apparently being held today in Hawaii, on a petition which seeks to have Barack Obama's original 1961 birth certificate made public.

I’ve never seen *such resistance* to producing such a fundamental document to prove a very minor item — minor in regards to being a citizen *if* one actually is. It’s not “minor” (of course) if one is *not* a natural-born citizen.
What on earth can be such a problem for Obama to produce such a minor thing, that we all have to produce several times (with our own documentary requirements that we have to meet in our own personal lives).
Since Obama has *such resistance* to producing it, including spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on lawyers fees to *fight* having to produce and/or show it — this shows that there *is a problem* with his birth certificate.
So, everyone’s support should go to supporting any and all lawsuits in regards to Obama producing the original birth certificate showing that he is a natural-born citizen....
Honestly at this point, it is beginning to taste like some Gore2000ish sour grapes. Time to move on and figure out how to regain lost ground in 2010, prep for 2012, and mitigate the damage Obambi will do in the meantime.

Stop the Obama Constitutional Crisis
When you were first elected and as tradition requires you have sworn the oath: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me G-d.”
Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution reads: “No Person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.”
There are numerous questions as to Obama’s citizen status raising suspicion and doubt about Obama constitutional qualification to be president. To settle these questions Mr. Obama must produce proof of citizenship!
Documents that must be produced include;
(a) a certified copy of “vault” (original long version) birth certificate;
(b) certified copies of all reissued and sealed birth certificates in the names Barack Hussein Obama, Barry Soetoro, Barry Obama, Barack Dunham and Barry Dunham;
(c) a certified copy Certification of Citizenship;
(d) a certified copy Oath of Allegiance taken upon age of maturity;
(e) certified copies of admission forms for Occidental College, Columbia University and Harvard Law School; and
(f) certified copies of any court orders or legal documents changing his name from Barry Soetoro.
It is reasonable that these documents should be produced considering that his father is Kenyan, his adoptive father is Indonesian, and his grandmother claims to have been present at his birth in Kenya. If he is a natural born citizen then producing these documents should not be any problem.
These allegations will not go away until Mr. Obama produces proof to federal authorities and the public. If he will not do so voluntarily he must be compelled by every means available. You, as an employee of The People, have sworn an oath to support and defend the Constitution.
We The People are demanding you to make every effort, both public and private, to resolve this fundamental Constitutional question before 20 January.

No ... this is not about sour grapes, this is about the LAW and the CONSTITUTION. If we would allow a foreign national into the Presidency, then what else in the Constitution can also be overlooked. No this is much bigger than sour grapes, this is a fundamental for the safety of our country.

Now is the time to push harder on this, there will be a few people if not many unable to stomach the thought of fighting for liberty, freedom and justice for all.
There is no ignoring this, the office of president of the United States requires adamantly the person to be a US citizen, no gray area of in between.
