"Today Individual Members of Congress have a clear-cut choice to make. Either they can cave in to the narrow, special interests that value the cold, hard steel of guns more than the lives of children, neighbors and police officers, or they can fulfill the mandate of the broad majority of the American public by supporting a reasonable, common sense bill that would make all of us safer from armed criminals. The choice for each House Member is just that stark.If certain guns are not suitable for the general public, then they are not suitable for the police who interact with the general public.
As most of you know, I have served as a judge, as the chief prosecutor for the District of Columbia, and for the past two years as the Deputy Attorney General of the United States. I know the harm that guns can do - to individuals, to families, and to communitiesWe know the harm that guns in the NYPD hands did to Sean Bell. And yet, the NYPD was not disarmed, let alone disbanded.
Where was Holder on Waco?
Shortly after 9/11, he wrote an op-ed, (I don't recall where), that basically said that all gun sales should be legislated, or banned, to keep the guns out of the hands of terrorists.Why would terrorists buy a $450 semi-automatic rifle in the U.S. if they could buy a fully-automatic AK-47 in Somalia for $12?
YEP. That’s Change for ya ...
Change = deja vu
Time to redefine "sport."
When you consider all of Gorelick nefarious accomplishments when she was behind the scenes in the Clinton Administration, keep this in mind: she's still behind the scenes.
I wonder if any our Republican Senators will grow a spine and vote AGAINST Holder's nomination to be A.G. I know I sure as hell would.
