CINO alert ping. Warning! I'm going to vent here........

I have seen poll after poll over the years showing a disturbing trend, especially among”Catholic” women.

In 1990, a much-talked-about poll was released showing 71% of self-described Catholic women supporting Abortion rights. I have recently seen polls showing large majorities even in current years of Catholic women supporting Abortion rights. Several polls quoted in FR by Catholic Freepers have shown that self-described Catholic women are typically Pro-Choice, and in very large numbers among the under-30 crowd. Among Catholic women who vote on the issue of Abortion primarily, Pro-Choice women led 2-1.

Do I even need to list the “Catholic” elected officials, especially “Catholic” women officials, and do the roll call? It's just abhorrently embarrassing. The ratio of Pro-Choice to Pro-Life is just absurd.

We all know that in general, men are slightly more Pro-Choice than women. So can somebody tell me why it is that the reverse is so decisively true in the Catholic Church?

Among the disturbing truths:

—Catholic women in the United States are as likely as women in the general population to have an abortion, and 29% more likely than Protestant women.

—There is more money spent to elect Pro-Choice Catholic women than Pro-Life Catholic women by nearly 30-1.

—Of all the major Christian religions, self-described Catholic women are the most likely to have MULTIPLE abortions.

Forgive my venting - but I get awfully tired of seeing this crap.

1.) If you're voting Pro-Choice, especially for the PURPOSE of advancing Abortion rights, you're in the wrong damn Church.

2.) If you're running for office as a Pro-Choice candidate, speaking before the pro-infanticide groups, you're in the wrong damn Church.

3.) If you're sending MONEY to groups the support Abortion, volunteering for such groups, spouting their talking points, legitimizing them, or any any way forwarding their pro-death agenda, YOU'RE IN THE WRONG DAMN CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either get with the Church and the Scriptures, or STOP CALLING YOURSELF A CATHOLIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not a birthright, you don't inherit CATHOLIC - you don't have Catholic DNA, you are not Catholic just because that's what your family told you you were as a child. It's a RELIGION - a FAITH - a PRACTICE. It is not a cafeteria with a menu of selections, it is not an inconvenience, it is not a DEMOCRACY up for popular VOTE for the laity to decide what's relevant and what's true in Church doctrine.

CALL YOURSELF SOMETHING ELSE IF YOU THINK THE CHURCH IS FULL OF CRAP ON ISSUES YOU CARE ABOUT!!! And forgive the smoke coming out of my ears.........

Whew! You had me worked up there for a minute! ;o) I’m a slightly sheltered SAH(omeschool)M and all the Catholic women I hang around with did NOT vote for Obama. I realize we are in the minority.
