I knew Rush’s site went down last week. Glad he got it back.
I spent months praying for that man and I would now like to smack his face.
So where does the Volt get its fuel? Where do we get electricity? The Volt won’t help.
Our Jeep was made by AMC. It was their last year.
With the fuel engine engaged, the Volt has a range of 400-600 miles. The engine’s only purpose is to maintain charge. Still insufficient for you?

Volt gets its fuel wherever the computer’s set - flex fuel capable. As for charge, recharge at 220 outlet for 2 hrs or 110 outlet in 6 hrs. So if you’ve got an extention cord, you’ve got charge.
I kind of forced my dad into retirement at 66. He worked like a slave his whole life in the store{the same place now I’m running}and he looked, acted and was tired.
Of course he was always around to help out, especially when I took time off, so that was a big plus.
Even now, before his 80th birthday, if I needed someone for a couple hours, or an extra set of eyes, no problem. As he is overseas now, that doesn’t happen now. Oh well!
A pension, yeah right. Our pension is measured in blood. sweat and tears. That and maximum effort.
I’m evil. I bought a Subaru.
The electric motor is what I was speaking about....my commute is about the extent of it’s limit. After it hits the market, there will be others that want to compete and have longer range and any bugs would be worked out by then. Waiting for the next generation is not a big deal.
Consider what Rush does a both a teaching moment and a commerical. :)
