WASHINGTON - Before he ran for president Barack Obama quit smoking. Now that he's won the job, he may have to break another addiction: Checking his BlackBerry for e-mail. The president's e-mail can be subpoenaed by Congress and courts and may be subject to public records laws, so if a president doesn't want his e-mail public, he shouldn't e-mail, experts said. And there may be security issues about carrying around trackable cell phones

Some of the nuggets in the article...
"Actress Scarlett Johansson said she has had frequent e-mail exchanges with him during his campaign travels, something the Obama campaign downplayed"
Uh oh. Tsk tsk
"A few days before Bush took office in 2001, he sent an e-mail to a few dozen close friends saying he would no longer use e-mail: "Since I do not want my private conversations looked at by those out to embarrass, the only course of action is not to correspond in cyberspace. This saddens me."
Bush was unhappy about losing his e-mail and mostly used the phone to talk to friends, McClellan wrote, adding, "I am sure the president looks forward to being able to communicate with them via e-mail again come January 20, 2009."
Pillsbury Dough Boy McClennan I don't think will be getting any e-mails from W

Why should he give it up. There is no way the Republicans would ever subpoena his email. That would be partisan, divisive, and racist.

Says a lot about President Senator Government that he hasn’t even been sworn in yet and he’s already worried about a subpoena.
Must be fear over the same tactics being applied to him that he’s already applying to the Bush administration.

Oh yeah man, he quit smoking, was born in Hawaii, never heard Rev. Wright disparage white people or America, wrote "Dreams from my Father" by himself, never worked for ACORN, won in a fair election, didn't associate with William Ayers, isn't a socialist, and will cut taxes by 95%.
Believe 6 impossible things every morning before breakfast, and an Obama presidency will start to seem reasonable.

"Actress Scarlett Johansson said she has had frequent e-mail exchanges with him during his campaign travels, something the Obama campaign downplayed" No doubt Michelle understands just how valuable the advice of a pretty 23-year-old airhead can be in dealing with the youth vote on the campaign trail. ;)
