I hope you freeped him like a rented mule, bud!
Attendees entered at the side of the building where we were. Unfortunately, they snuck Ayres in through another door.
:-(
Oh well, at least the news coverage will do some good!
I just read your post and must say that you have missed the point of FREEPING. This is a personal commitment to individual and personal goals. Each Freeper could give you a slightly different reason for attending.
I travel a long distance to show my support for the troops who make it safe for me here in America. I look for no more recognition than my own satisfaction that the protests I remember do not go unanswered, again.
How many times do we participate with a group or experience an activity that is totally an unselfish and positive event?
I am sorry you can not see this activity as I do, but hope you are finding another way to support the troops, weekly.
...keep up the good work and Thanks, like always, pass on our appreciation.
“Are you on our DC Chapter list by mistake?”
Nope, I’m living vicariously through you folks, nice job!
bump
I pinged the chapter list but that particular message was specifically for one individual. Sorry for the confusion.
Then again, maybe you were just being cute...which you are.
No confusion, I saw the remark you referenced...and thanks for the compliment ;^)
Anyway, to clarify what I wrote:
Unfortunately I guess most people arent too adept at ignoring stuff like the behavior of retards so well.
The point was that the targets of protests - like the people attending a funeral protested by Felps - may not be adept at ignoring Felps, so they take comfort in your counter protest.
Same for veterans at Walter Reed.
Some may not give a damn if there were a million fat pink lesbians outside the hospital - but others may, so they find value in seeing a pro-American counter protests.
Some could conclude that seeing a handful of nuts protesting them and the war don't change a majority of Americans that voted to support their effort in 04 and just a little less than a majority in 08.
Aaaaand to Rlmorel - not apologizing for saying this.
Ping. Sounds like you can join Patriot Guard Rides in VA in December.

Basically, PGR is a motorcycle organization who's mission is to be a human barrier while carrying American flags, between grieving families who lost loved ones in Amreica's wars and the sh#tbags of the Phelps one-branch clan.
They welcome any anyone to help them. Just bring a large flag. Everyone will definitely know who's side you are on.

I’ll split the Popcorn Concession with you.
Make you a deal. If they pass through my part of East Tennessee, we can route them back up through Scott County. They can rehash their recent protest they did from when the high school cheerleaders, an unborn child, and the unborn’s grandmother were killed in a car wreck - only this time, without the THP and sheriff’s department around.
They won’t make it to Norfolk.
And all I ask is that you think (not even necessarily send, just think) about sending me some Kansas City ribs.
That would be a deal. I'm sure enough Kansans would join this cause that you would have a lifetime supply of ribs.

I have only had a few chances to stand up — once was at a rally by then-media-darling Cindy Sheehan’s bunch of lefty-anit-war whackos. We followed the nutbags (on the opposite side of the street as requested by the LEOs) as they marched to a location across the street from our soldier’s memorial with tombstones with the names of KIA in Iraq and Afghanistan. We carried pro-troop signs. We had several military members come up to us and say thank you for sticking up for them. They are not allowed to stick up for themselves against these jerks. And I wondered later — what if NO ONE had stood up with signs opposing the lefties and those same military members had witnessed their disgusting display unopposed? They would very possibly have felt that no one gives a rip about them or what they have been dying for in our name. I don’t care WHO thinks that we stand up to these jerks for cathartic reasons. I will not let my heroes — like my brother for one — ever feel like no one cares. Never back down - NEVER SURRENDER. It matters to the troops. And that’s all that matters to me. I don’t give a rats patoot whether or not it matters to Fred or Cindy or any other anti-war whack job.
Would you like me to give your post to a mother who has just lost her 21 yr old son to an IED bomb? When the WBC creeps are outside saying her son is a fag & ranting & raving...Singing God hates America? Or is it better to try to shield the parents from these creeps? Does it take my time & do I lose money from taking off from work.....Yes. But it is worth it. For every parent that can see the PGR come & honor their deceased child & perhaps comfort them it is worth it. I would rather do that then just sit & ignore these sickos. You think ignoring them will make them go away? You are ignorant. Read up on Fred Phelps & the WBC.
