The silence from the MSM about this issue seems unusual.
If anything, one would think they would bring it up just to show how “nutty” folks on the ‘net can be. The fact that is is never mentioned is so very interesting.
Suggests to me that they are afraid there might be some “there, there”, and do not want to touch the subject with a ten foot pole.
But, what do I know, for I am just one of those “right-wing conspirators” in their eyes.
Why the Certifigate “garbage” should NOT go away until it is finally resolved:
I wasn’t a FReeper at the time of the Dan Rather “Memogate” controversy, and the conclusive proof of that hoax, but I recall that it was a concerted effort by dedicated FReepers that ultimately exposed the left’s nefarious plot to smear Bush’s national guard service with forged documents.
I got the impression that it was a somewhat laborious, convoluted, and esoteric process that led, ultimately, to the public realization and acknowledgment about the miniscule manipulations of ink on paper which showed Dan Rather to be a partisan hack, shilling for sleazy Democrat operatives, even despite his legendary advanced professional career/CV and fame...and it all came down to tiny serifs on a font of type.
The Washington Post flogged and flaunted the Abu Graib story on its front pages for week after week, and observant critics noted that WaPo seems to be obsessed, year after year, with revisiting their former glory realized when they brought down a Republican president in the Watergate scandal.
Maybe we here on FR are also grasping at a sort of former glory ourselves, but we are nonetheless entitled as citizens also—along with the rest of Americans—to a full disclosure about and resolution of Hussein’s questionable eligibility to be our President. Such resolution hasn’t come about yet. That’s why this story still has legs and will eventually be concluded with a full public accounting.
