...that could be do-or-die this week.

Oh my god! The sky is falling!!

Give me a break. All Detroit needs to do is grow a pair and start managing its business again instead of letting the unions run it. If a bailout is given, nothing changes and they'll be back at the public trough again and again. And keep in mind, the proposed bailout as envisioned by Pelosi is not a Chrysler-type affair of 30 years ago. This involves giving gov't an equity position. So if Nancy wants cars powered by two gerbils in a squirrel cage, she can dictate it. This is pure Socialism and we should be outraged.

Nice to see you watched the video :-)........

That was theie intro, I had to copy paste something to make a legit post....

This is what sucks about the Freep, another drive-by posting, without watching the 21 minute video....

BTW, I am not fond of the strings attached, someone like Pelosi or Waxman who can't change a spark plug instead of Dingell who may actually have a handle on the business is enough to scare the crap out of anyone.....

My comment has nothing to do with the video, but everything to do with the headline. I disagree with the panic-stricken leadins that I'm seeing about the failing auto industry. Everyone from Pelosi on down are trying to tell the American public that if she doesn't spend more of MY money, the auto industry with collapse. Well, first of all, if it's that sick, pull the plug and let it die. Secondly, it's not that sick, but Pelosi et al want the ability to take an equity position so they can control the auto industry. Using inflammatory headlines simply makes reasoned debate about the industry very difficult. If their situation is truly as depicted in the headlines, don't give them a dime. Let them die a graceful death.

Again, I did not write it, a copy/paste to make it quicker for me and accurately reflect what Channel 4 said in their intro...

Now did you watch the video and can you make a cogent comment on its content, because what was said may matter to the discussion of Bridge-Loan or No-Bridge-Loan.....

No, I know you didn’t write it. If you had, I wouldn’t have cared because it would be an audience limited to FR readers who are smarter than most. I’m just tired of MSM journalists who use loaded, emotional words that are specifically selected to further some agenda the author or their paper has.
