The U.S. Secret Service is being asked to review a sign a Bonner County landowner put up which suggests a "free public hanging" of President-elect Barack Obama and several other political figures.

Just say they are left over from Halloween, where effigy hanging of public figures is perfectly acceptable.

Political correctness is a big pile of bs however this is kind of over the top.
It should get the same attention that similar implied attacks on President Bush received, but it won’t. It will get much much more.

But nowhere to be found when ACORN steals elections, illegals access welfare benefits while working simultaneously, fruits throw around old ladies holding crosses, Gorelick, Emmanuel and Raines steal over $100 million between them from Fannie Mae after overseeing the implementation of the disaster, etc., etc., etc. Nowhere to be found when any of this happens.
Give it a rest, and please exhibit some recognition of the incredible disparity between each side’s infractions. And until I see you on here blasting every infraction by the left, just shut up.

When conservatives do it to liberal candidates it’s a “hate crime”.

Technically he didn’t do it.
He has a sign saying “Free Public Hangings”.
Those effigies you mention are far more of a “I’m going to do this” (threat) than a “I want to do this”/”This is what I think should happen.”
Do I think the guy’s right, not particularly... but then again, I would be all for legislation making “Conspiracy to Commit Voter Fraud” a capital offense. (That is, if more than one person was involved, as per ‘conspiracy’ definition.)
