Guess they voted for surrendering their retirement since DUmocrats are the ones who control purse strings in Congress and want a government take-over of 401K plans.

RINOs ARE DUmocrats! Doesn't take a genius to figure out that "reach across the aisle" and "bi-partisanship" are only equatable to terms of surrender.

The worsening of all political correctness and the worsening of the “dumbing down” of people also helped both Obama and D’s at every political level win. Both political correctness of people of all ages and the “dumbing down” of people of all ages helped in creating both ignorant voters and stupid voters, and these voters ended up voting in the majority along with many conservative voters deciding to stay home again in ‘08, just like many conservative voters decided to just stay home during the ‘06 elections. Conservatives had already lost the ‘08 election for POTUS prior to November 4 when the only serious, remaining choices for ‘08 POTUS are between Marxist Obama and RINO McCain! Also, the ongoing worsening of both political correctness all over the world and the “dumbing down” of people all over the world will only benefit the political left even more all over the world.

If John McCain were a Democrat he would have won. Instead he lost to a Marxist, Socialist, Empty suit because Kool-Aid drinking idiots wanted “change”. Change is what they are going to have left in their pockets when Obama and company get through with them.

Do you mean like the massive bailout that Republicans played their part in passing? Yes, that greatly advanced smaller government.

I think a huge factor is that Obama had roughly 8 times the $ to spend than McCain. How can anyone compete with a 30 minute infomercial on Obama’s greatness? Obama had 600 million dollars in dubious contributions and will have at least that amount in 2012. Meanwhile the GOP cretin will opt for the 80 million in “matching funds”.

The two primary billionaires behind Barack Obama are Oprah Winfrey and Warren Buffett.

McCain got 10% of the Democratic vote but Obama got 9% of the Republican vote which means Reagan Democrats and RINOs neutralized each other.

Only 34% of the electorate described themselves as “conservative” to the exit pollsters while 44% said that they were “moderate” and 22% were “liberals.”
Obama won the moderates, and the election 60% to 39%.

And that conservatives at the grassroots level have had to fight their own Congressional leadership twice to stop them from passing blanket amnesty?

I blame the America-haters, stupid “idealistic” kids, race-voting blacks, self-loathing white liberals and freeloaders who voted for the turd.

Some people vote with their pocketbooks. Some people (usually liberal women) vote with their private parts. All of those who voted for Obama cut off their noses to spite their insipid faces.

"The Republicans have lost their nerve. Worse, they have lost their revulsion to socialism and Marxism and have devolved into politically correct, overfed capons."

I don't believe they have lost their revulsion to socialism -- many of them never had it and don't know what it means to them.

And to top that off: IT CAN'T HAPPEN HERE!

So they say while it's happening.

Americans are a strange lot today.

They won't fight to keep patriotism in schools, colleges and universities.

They won't fight when their government rapes them with this so-called "bailout".

They should have taken to the streets to protest a Marxist during the primaries and before -- not foolishly wait until he's the left's pick.

The left is winning and there is no one at the helm who believes the left is a REAL threat. "It just can't happen here."

We are finished as a free people if this continues.

Pocketbook over principle. Good thing our Revolutionary forefathers didn’t have that mindset, they lost life, limb, and property for the principle and fact of liberty.

In the long run, yes, but those people don't live for posterity or for principle, except "the pleasure principle". They can't or won't see that the government gives nothing for free. Everytime you "allow" the government to take over part of your life and "care for you", you are granting them part of your freedom.

I’ve come to conclude that, up at the top, where the money and power are, no one gives a damn who sleeps in the White House. It is all a big soap opera to keep the masses distracted.

I found McCain to be one of Obama’s most loyal supporters. The guy was not thinking in terms of the presidency but on keeping his job in the Senate and his buddies from across the aisle. His heroism in Vietnam will not be his legacy but his RINO characteristics will.
