All the weapons I own were either handed down from my Father (1914 Mauser pistol and a M1911A1 45) or purchased more than 25 years ago. I will not leave a paper trail buying a new weapon. I will become the owner of a 12ga shotgun before Christmas (internal family trade).
That, and buy from individuals whom you know well.
