Here's a slogan: The result of spreading the wealth around is spreading unemployment around.

More proof that the Founding Fathers made a mistake when they did not define voting as a privilege extended only to those in the military or those who are actual taxpayers.

Well over half of the people have incomes too long to pay much in the way of federal income taxes. Therefore, they don’t mind seeing taxes raised, as that is a theoretical concept to them. They pay sales, gasoline, and property taxes primarily. People don’t mind taxing their neighbor if they can collect a part of his higher payment.

I love this guy. He was talking recently about being an autonomous person. I feel the same way. I dont need the government telling me how to be responsible, and do whatever I need to do, not to hurt others. Ted is too smart to run for a political office, but if he could get a grass roots movement going, I would support him all the way. We should all try to be as independent, and caring for our country as he is.

People looked at the economy, gas prices etc and voted against the party that held the executive.

at 47% for McCain, that is not too shabby considering that there are a lot of stupid people out there who dont understand what caused the economy to buckle, namely the Dhimms, fanny, freddy(and fanny/freddy enablers in Jimmah and BJ Clinton, Bawney Fwank, et al) and acorn.

Now if the presidential candidate was not a liberal republican....we may have been able to pull this election out of the coals.

The election of Obama is an example of Americans voting against their own self interest.

I’m looking for the source of the quote paraphrased as: “When the people find they can get their hand in the till (treasury) then Democracy will fail.”

I think they’ve found out.

Anybody know the source? And the original words.

I am MORE than tired of hearing Ted Nugent’s opinion on ANYTHING...

This wannabe patriot brought eternal shame on himself by the means he used and proudly admitted to the world of how he avoided the draft during the unpleasantness in Vietnam...

Google Ted Nugent and the Draft..... You wouldn’t believe it if I simply told you -— So do your own research..

Nugent is a POS, a phony “Man’s man” with a cowardly and traitorous streak up his back as wide as his chicken shit ass.

The ultimate irony - in the end, after we have given them the power and the money, the “stuff” most individuals get in return from the Gov’t is pretty meagre.

I changed my mind — fearing the some folks might be too lazy to check for themselves...

This is just ONE of the MANY explanations of Nugent’s behavior with the Republic his vigorously defends with his mouth - left his ass behind.

Proof: Ted Nugent Is A Draft Dodger. Will Hannity Keep Defending Him?

Since we’ve been discussing Ted Nugent lately, this seemed a good time to bring up Nugent’s draft dodging. It’s well known that Nugent claims to have gone to great lengths to flunk his Draft Board physical. What’s not so well-known is that he got a student deferment at the same time he was touring with his rock band, putting in an average of 300 shows a year. How was he going to school and touring that much at the same time?

One of our readers sent me a copy of an extract of Nugent’s Selective Service records, obtained via a FOIA request (copy below). As you can see, Nugent received student deferments in 1967 (1-S) and 1968 (2-S). But according to the Internet Movie Data Base website, Nugent has been “performing professionally since 1958, non-stop yearly touring since 1967, averaging more than 300 shows per year ‘67-73.” Hmm, that would include the two years he was supposedly too wrapped up in his studies to be serving his country.

But that hasn’t stopped Nugent from insisting that if he HAD served, he would have been one big mofo soldier. As the Rutland Herald reported, Here’s what Nugent said he would have done if he went to Vietnam:

“… if I would have gone over there, I’d have been killed, or I’d have killed, or I’d kill all the hippies in the foxholes … I would have killed everybody,” he told the Detroit Free Press in an interview published July 15, 1990.”

The Herald also noted that Nugent’s efforts to avoid the draft make President Bush look like a war hero.

(Nugent claims) that 30 days before his Draft Board Physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and a week before his physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether, virtually living inside his pants caked with excrement and urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment.

Sean Hannity went to ridiculous lengths Friday night (8/24/07) to defend Nugent’s threatening rants against Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. FOX & Friends whitewashed Nugent’s comments the next day. Apparently, this “patriot” can do no wrong on the “We like America” network.

McCain had no marketable answer to Obama's charge because McCain knew that attempting to explain the economy to dumb people is impossible in 30-second commercials.

The reason McCain couldn't counter Obama's plan effectively is because McCain isn't a true believer in Reaganomics. He mouthed the words he thought he had to say to win but there was no conviction behind those words.

Why is it that Ted Nugent is smarter than McCain, his staff, and all his speech writers?

That was the most painful campaign I have ever witnessed, McCain was served fat fastballs right down the middle and sat there with the bat on his shoulder. Every time Palin brought up a strong point, McCain disagreed, if he was as aggressive against Obama as he was Palin he would have won going away.

I think McCain was basically the only candidate capable of losing to Obama.

I’m relieved that I can return to my former default position of despising McCain.
