OMG!
Forget Sarah Palin's comeback in Miami, how 'bout that news that John Edwards, two-time former Democratic presidential candidate, surfaced Thursday in San Francisco ... on stage alongside ''the architect'' himself, Karl Rove.
Bad economy and all, apparently the Commercial Financial Association had the big bucks to bring in GOP strategist Rove and Edwards to debate at its annual convention at the Marriott Hotel.
We don't have the price tag on this event, but Rove's reported speaking fee is $40,000, and -- we reported last year -- Edwards reaped $55,000 for a speech on poverty at UC Davis back before he declared himself a candidate.
Rove ''didn't care if, as a vice presidential candidate, (Sarah) Palin knew where South Ossetia or Abkhazia are, or if she could recite the minutiae of health care policy, the Associated Press said.
''But if she wants to run for president, she's gonna have to get somebody to move to Anchorage, Alaska, and help her take her game to another level,'' he said, according to the AP.
The former North Carolina senator's S.F. gig marks his second public event since his hasty retreat from the political scene earlier this year. He got applause from the crowd and also discussed Palin's issues, but never mentioned his own ugly problems ... the revelation that he was carrying on an affair while his wife, Elizabeth, was stricken with breast cancer.
Present and part of the spectacle were the folks at CodePink, who not only got into the toney reception the night before but managed to provide a CodePink welcoming reception for Rove, arrests and all.

I didn't post the above link to post the article so it would not go automatically to FR Blogs as it is a good news article.

Go take care of your baby’s mama, John
You mean two-timing...
No need to thank me for the correction.
Is Rove light in the loafers? Sheesh he sure is not acting manly lately. I would never ask this question two years ago or before as I would have been strung up and sent out of FR for life. lol. But seriously what is wrong with Rove lately??? He needs to get back on his game and quick.
Rove is rich and has no concerns regardless of the economy.
The only people insulated from the economic climate are the politicians and those who consult them.
When will America wake up and realize that both parties are corrupt?
...John Edwards, two-time former Democratic presidential candidate...
Why shouldn’t he become a prominent Dim? Big Head Ted Kennedy KILLED a girl, for cripes sake...
There are two of us awake.
..sorry about the “big head” thing - no disrespect meant to the Senate’s leading murderer...
There’s a reason I don’t claim any party affiliation.
There is only one party now, the Dems and Repubs have merged into one.
Rove will always tout the GOP line and like others in the GOP will vilify and do their best to destroy any chance of Conservatives to get any traction in the Republican Party
Sarah and others that have the best interests of this country in mind and heart will have an uphill battle in the GOP.
If somebody paid me 25K every time I showed up and opened my mouth&mind for an hour or two.. Sign me up.
A great irony since almost all MSM content today is a blog.
Sad ain’t it?

“Rove subtly throws Palin under the GOP bus.P>”
I don’t know. He was certainly enthusiastic about her after the VP debate. Seems like he was a strong supporter, at least when I saw him interviewed on Fox after the debate. Rove has also written some excellent editorials for the WSJ supporting Palin.
I’m not convinced (yet) that he’s throwing her under the bus.
The quote you provided sounds like Rove is simply promoting himself to Palin to be her future tutor in these matters. If so, she should seriously consider it, since she is definitely going to need a tutor. He’s knowledgeable, experienced, and creatively devious when it comes to packaging or “positioning” oneself in the political market-of-ideas.
Palin is defintely going to need a David Axelrod type such as Rove: someone to articulate, define, hone, and market her next campaign (in 2012, we hope). I’m taking a wait-and-see attitude on this one. I’m not ready to give up on Rove yet.
That's rich...
Kinda being the devil's advocate here but at the same time looking into the future a bit.
If Rove can be convinced the Palin is viable on the national scene, maybe he can help her.
She's have to watch her back constantly though. I still believe Rove's main loyalty is to the GOP, in which case unless they change Palin will destroyed by them
They can go either way. Continue to move left or go with conservatives and become viable again.
Rove is the POS that destroyed the Republican party, if he takes up with Edwards, good ridance.
Karl Rove has turned out as incompetent as John Edwards has been unable to control his pants zipper.
Rove is the “architect” of Bush’s incompetence, stupidity and generally lawless 8 years
