The library card is one of the best tips. My local library has a huge selection of movies you can check out & watch at home for free. Our library is close to the park, so I combine free exercise by walking around the park and then I go to the library & wind down by reading several of the many magazines they keep current. Then I check out some mystery novels and movies. Sometimes I pack my lunch at home beforehand and have a picnic at the park while I’m there. It’s all free and it’s all good!
I don’t buy expensive cleansers, just use vinegar & baking soda. I save my used dryer sheets - they work great to clean around faucets, the sink, shower/tub - they really cut through water & soap scum!
I never pay full price for birthday or other greeting cards - get them all at the dollar stores for a dollar each.
Stopped drinking soda pop - it’s not good for you & you don’t miss it after awhile.
We rarely go out to eat anymore, but when we do - we only eat half of our meal (they give you too much anyway) & get a doggie bag for the rest - we get two meals for the price of one.
My grandmother taught me to use the water left over after cooking vegetables to water my plants and garden with. She never poured water down the drain that could be used outside.
I do what you do. We haven’t eaten out but once in two months {I got sick and haven’t been able to} and I swear, we are eating healthier and better.
My Mother saved bacon grease on her stove for use for frying and flavoring,,,we don’t fry anymore.
And Mother never bought tupperware,,she used mayo jars,,she never used paper towels,,dishrags. ANd hated the dryer.

My grandmother did that and her house always smelled like cabbage...Well, I think it was the house..
You can also save it up for several days and then use it as the base stock for making soup or stew. Just be sure to raise it to a full boil for a half a minute.
We have fallen into the very bad and very expensive habit of eating out too much. Each month we easily spend $300-400 on restaurant meals. Probably more. So, this month I put up six coupons on our family bulletin board. Four are for fast food meals for the kids and me. Sometimes when we’re out and about, we’re not at home to eat a meal, and these usually cost around $12 or so for the three of us. Two coupons are for sit-down meals for our family of four. Last night I got soup and a salad, dh got a calamari appetizer and the kids each got kid meals. Our bill was less than $40, tip included. I know this isn’t exactly cutting our budget to the bone, but it will probably save us at least $200 a month.
“I save my used dryer sheets...”
Try this instead; take a clean rag (I use grungy facecloths that have just about outlived their usefulness) and pour a Tbsp. of fabric softener onto it. Toss that in with your damp clothes (that have line dried most of the day, of course!) and you’ve got yourself a re-useable fabric softener sheet. It’s good for at least two loads per Tbsp.
I’ve had ONE bottle of concentrated Downey (I like the smell; got it at the Dollar Store) for a YEAR, and still have some left. :)
And my Library Card? They can have my gun, but NOT my Library Card, LOL!
