Yes, it is. You know years and years ago it was a place where people went for a weekend getaway, when it would take a long time to get there ~LOL~ and as I remember the story on the Orange County San Bernardino County line somewhere around Sleepy Hollow they had a whore house, if OC tried to raid them they ran to SB County and vis versa. The canyon has a "rich" history. For all the growth in SoCal, there is still these little tucked away areas that have not changed much. Carbon Canyon is one of those places.

The helicopter pilot for the fire (online) indicates the winds have tied down, but he thinks Carbon Canyon is vulnerable when they pick up again in the morning. Said fire is around the 57 and Diamond Bar now, too.

I believe it was a great place for a getaway, would not surprise me a bit about the house or raid's either, lots of rich history in all of SOCAL..

I kept my AC on all night, just cracked my window, smoke is really bad still.. guess the Yorba Linda and Brea fires have joined up
