Dear ones,
I don’t post on here much although I’m an avid freeper fan. In the last few years here in the great state of Oklahoma, we have had our own share of natural disasters and assisted those who have had natural disasters in their own home states. (Katrina) When I was growing up, we had an occasional tornado, occasional flooding which took the lives of people in our neighborhood. It’s a bad thing to see or consider. In the last couple of years here in Northeastern Oklahoma we have had several devastating tornadoes, the Picher mine field just a few months ago, the ice storms that absolutely put Northeastern Oklahoma down, there is a place outside of Colcord Oklahoma that looks like a nuclear bomb hit it, it will take years to clean up. No one is coming to our rescue. But as far as I’m concerned that’s okay. Sure we would like the help here, it would be welcomed, but we know that we take care of our own.
As I was reading this thread, I just wanted to say that we are all Americans, whether it is fire or wind or ice or water, we want to help those in need. I don’t care where anyone is at, or what they have been voting on. We should just care because we are American’s. We have a God given grace and right to take care of those of around us. I am praying this evening for California! I can’t even imagine what they are going through. Please pray for anyone out there undergoing horrible tragedy. It could be you next time!
Thank you, btallcorn!!!! God bless you...
The fires here in Southern California are a tragedy. Many hard working citizens are trying to rest in evacuation centers and high schools and wonder if their home are still standing. 110 home gone in Santa Barbara, 500 mobile homes lost in San Fernando area, and 40 luxury homes in Yorba Linda were burned. The fire is merciless and the fire fighters are strong and brave, probably like the Cowpokes in OK.
Very sweet post! Thank you so much!
