UGH UGH - I have a question.
I am even more sober now - watched the Rachel Maddow cut and was fascinated watching her mouth, rather than assessing the content of her ‘character’. Having never
seen her on that strange bastard child of NBC where all the malcontents are lodged I am assured I have missed nothing.
Why do lesbians generally talk out of one side of their mouths?
I saw an old gangster movie on AMC once where James Cagney had the same affectation - and on him it looked ok.
On Rachel - it looked grotesque.
The MadCow channel, bastard child of NBC, the bastard child of GE.

Questions to the self assured brilliant men on this thread.
I watched this video compilation of 5 Governors (Sanford,Pawlenty, Barbour, Huntsman, and Blunt) answering a question about the “Future of the GOP.” All of them chose to deflect the question away from Palin.
1.What is it about strong, intelligent woman that scares them so much? Their response makes them look less credible.
2. What makes them so self conscious about Palin? Their answer makes them appear weak.
3. What makes it easier for them to support a man vs. a women with the same if not better credentials? It makes them look sexist.
4. What prevents these Governors from acknowledging Palin’s strengths and validating her in contributing to leadership make-up of the Republican Governors’ Association? Their refusal to accept her as an equal diminishes their potential strength as a force to be reckoned with. How can they make any headway with influencing Administration and/or Congress if they are not unified as one TEAM? We have been hit with a tsunami-like wave of liberalism taking all our collective breaths away in this recent Election.
Please WAKE UP Republican Governors’ Association (RGA)!!!
Do you want to help bring us back from the brink of disaster? Grow up, keep your state afloat, and spend any extra time you have working and communicating as ONE TEAM with one voice to bolster the weakened Republican guard in Congress.
I will speak your language. Look at any professional sports team who has won championships. They all CONSISTENTLY sing the same tune and they relentlessly stick up for each other at all costs. As a result, they are stronger and more resistant to their opponent. They win despite all odds. They function as one voice, one goal, and One Team
I know, I am speaking to the wall because the Governors probably don’t visit this website. Oh well, I feel better.
Are the Republican Governors a lost cause?
My favorite comment from Lincoln about Grant was when someone pointed out that Grant was just a no good drunk, Lincoln replied “Find out what he drinks and send a case to my other Generals.”

The discussion between Pawlenty and Matthews was worthless.
The discussion among Matthews, Pat Buchanan, and a black “Republican strategist” named Paul was interesting only in that Paul took hits at Palin and Buchanan defended her. Then Paul accused Buchanan of making personal attacks on him.
In general the intellectual content of the program was at Matthews’ level which means pretty low.
Four more years...four more years...
It was supposed to be a 20 minute news conference. I am not sure what Perry’s point was in cutting it short. It was supposed to be Sarah’s, I believe, and I am dying to know who the other governors were who were supposedly there to detract.
Sarah is so smart and savy, I trust her instincts. Sarah will take care of Sarah!
I have talked to some people that are for lower taxes, limited Government. but they vote Democratic because of social issues ?
Why ? I dont get it.
The concept of protecting human life and family values actully turns people off.
Liberal Republicans——LOSE. How many times do we have to learn this lesson?
Memo to Governor Perry: That chick you're grabbing by the arm is a former Vice Presidential nominee of the Republican party x-nay on the grabbing her by the arm and telling her what to do like it's 1954 and you're her abusive husband-nay.
Would Gov. Perry have felt free to grab a male colleague by the arm like that. Is it just me or was that a little weird?
You can read more about what happened and the back biting here.
She'll end up leaving them all crying in the dust.
The other thing it reminds me of is the way Margaret Thatcher had to handle all the male egos in her own party when she took the helm.
My favorite Thatcher quote: "If you want anything said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman."
Doesn't Sarah Palin come to mind when you read that quote?
I remember about 8 years ago posting to you that the RINOs are more dangerous to us than the left. I wish I’d been wrong.
“3. What makes it easier for them to support a man vs. a women with the same if not better credentials? It makes them look sexist.”
Maybe they are sexist. And jealous.
They're one issue voters. They have a pet issue they feel the need to protect. It might be gay rights, it might be abortion, it might be drug use, but it's something.
Single issue voters bad whether they side with us or against us.
Exactly. That's what Buchanan politely said when he told him to examine himself.
The Conservative tent is already big enough for everyone. No need to get specific.

They're only as bad as the issue they're supporting. But regardless of the issue, they are not good bellwethers for how to win general elections.
Had ENOUGH of those folks.
