At the time, I didnt care who the hell J.R. was or why anyone would want to shoot him. But it sure did promote the T.V. series. There were bumper stickers, T-shirts and television commercials depicting and exploiting all known avenues of absurdities.
Why cant we (Conservatives) simply emblazon (Who is John Galt?) on everything we own? Houses, signs, t-shirts everything? We will never ever have the support of the MSM, but after awhile of silent commentary even they will have to investigate this weird phenomena.
What do you think?
I remember very well the “who shot J.R.” ad campaign. It was very effective. You are right, we will never have the support of the MSM that much is clear. They will continually portray us as the lunatics because we will not embrace socialism. I have no idea what campaign might work, but the Repubs better get it right next time because time is running out. Our deficit is spiraling and businesses are afraid to invest in this climate.
In 1983 I scrawled it onto an abandoned coaling tower in the Connecticut River Valley using a lump of coal. I thought that was so cool!
